Both bilge pumps not working

Well the suspense is almost too much at this point. Who wants to meet up on the east side of Michigan today and figure this thing out? I'll bring a case of beer and a flash light :)

You're easily amused, aren't you? :) :)

But, no, no suspense. Both of us are just offering info for the OP so he can make the best decision for himself.

I'll still take the beer, though......

Ill keep you updated Stee, no need to come out to the dirty D!

Thanks all for your insight, have a great weekend on the water.

cut the wires to the pump. then with all wires not touching eachother reset the breaker and see if it stays in the on position now that it doesnt have a load on it. u can use a test light to see which wire is positive and negative and then youll know if its wired properly to the battery after the motor work. its most likely the pump is bad, second would be possibly wired backwards and thirdly would be the breaker possibility. buying a new pump is not a waste because those pumps are already on borrowed time. so even if the pump is ok and something else is the problem, it wont be long before that pump goes.

I tried and tried to buy that pump. No joy, got the newest version and works great. Like i said. After you take it out bench test it.
