Toilet Seat replacement > My nuts are killing me!

I need to replace the toilet seat and my nuts are killing me.
Its impossible for me to reach around and hold them.
Especially the port side
The hinges broke and I cannot get the plastic bolts out.
How do people hold their nuts when unscrewing the bolt?
 
Must be really tight quarters in there. I just replaced mine and it was a piece of cake.

Sorry your nuts are giving you such a problem. Did you try some salve on them?
 
I think your problem is you're trying to do it all by yourself.

I suggest you find a 20-something in a small bikini. Take her to your boat, put some lotion on her hands and have her gently roll your nuts around in her hands.
If she is good with her hands this might get the stud to get off.

That won't get your toilet seat problem fixed but I guarantee her soothing actions will take your mind off the problem

Just undo the hose clamp at the base and the whole thing can be leaned forward
 
SO what toilet seats fit the Vaccuflush units on a 2000 400DB?
 
Make sure you are alone when doing this. There is nothing harder then getting a nut off when you can hear other people talking when you are twisting away
 
I whacked and whacked, and got my nuts off! Such relief!!

The bolts are plastic, so I slid a putty knife between the bowl and hinge, and whacked with a hammer. The nuts fell off. So easy!

Drill um out, just be sure your centered up. You wouldn’t want to crack the base
