Hi All,

I need a new push to start engine switch. It is a Carline off-on-(on) VM4J 670521, but I can't find it online. Anyone have any info?

Well, you learn something new every day. Thanks Scoflaw. I thought these were sealed units. I got another spare I had aboard and took it apart. As you know, if you don't what to expect, parts fly everywhere. Great design, and now I know more about how the switch works. As the switch I have now works most of the time, I'm not going to mess with it and possibly make it work none of the time, I'm going to continue my hunt for a new switch, but GREAT info and I appreciate your info.

I usually start my parts search online also, and struggled to find the same switch. Finally called my local SeaRay Dealer/Parts shop and they had it in stock...cheap. Less than $15. Smallest bill I've ever paid at a boat store. :)

Be sure you get one with the jumper (or make up your own). Learned this the hard way last week. One of mine started failing intermittently. First set of replacements didn’t have the jumper between T2 and T5. Re-ordered these ones…

Due here next week…

More info in case it helps anyone: Carling says the new part # is VMDJSOOB-CZCOO-OOO.

I called my local MarineMax. They say there part # for this switch is 670521. They have them for $36 each. I'm going to pick up 2 tomorrow.

Thanks to all for the help.
