I want to add a multi-function display to my 2003 SeaRay 320 Sundancer. I want to add Smart Craft, at some point add Flir and incorporate my current information that comes to my Tr-Data. We boat on the Kanawha River so there is no real need for Radar. I already have Mercury Vessel View Mobile so I have all the cables run to a junction box I would just need the cable to run from the junction box to the display screen. Would there be some type of adaptor to bring the information in from my 2003 Tri-Data display?

Your tri-data uses SeaTalk which is really just NMEA 2000 with a proprietary connector. You'll need to setup a NMEA backbone if you haven't already. Then there are SeaTalk to deviceNet (NMEA 2000) adaptors which you can use to get all of your data on the same bus.

If you want to get all of your smart craft data on to that buss as well, you'll need a bridge device. Mercury marine sells one, but I prefer the one made by Yacht Devices.

Do you have a recommendation for an MFD? I am leaning towards Raymarine as it seems to link with FLIR the best but I am open to all suggestions. I have room for a 9" display at my helm.

Everybody is going to have a favorite. I'm partial to Garmin which IMO has the most intuitive user interface. For the most usable screen space, you can go with a touch screen and then if you prefer tactile controls, you can add a separate remote which effectively gives you the best of both worlds. Here is the setup on my 310.

That box between the steering wheel and the throttles is the remote. The 2 MFDs are linked together so I can control either one from that remote when I don't want to use the touch screens.

I installed a Simrad NSS EVO3, 9” on my 320.
Does not integrate with the engines yet, but one connection away.
I ordered a new panel from Techno Grafics (spelling?), they custom cut the panel to fit the NSS EVO3 9”

Raymarine is the only one to get the most features out of Flir. I've had all but Furuno and like the Raymarine the best. They all will do a good job. Personal preference really.

Can you tell me what the model numbers for the two screens you show in this picture? Thanks for the input!
