Official 330 Express Cruiser / 340 Amberjack 1997-2003 Thread

It's actually a rubber/plastic. Mine is a 1999, but believe the windshields are all the same for our models (so long as you don't have a hardtop or radar arch delete in which case you would probably need 1-2' more).

PO could have replaced with foam when they couldn't locate original part??

Possible, I just sent Theresa a email let’s see what she’s says, I’m having a hard time finding it for sale

I recently started using my livewell in my 2003 Amberjack 340. I noticed a light inside the well. Does anyone know where the switch is for the light or how it turns on? -thanks, Mike

Hi guys
I found a problem with my non working windlass. If you open the electrical box under the stairs there is a Intellitec solenoid near the windless 105Amp braker, solenoid doesn't work .

If you do not want surprises with your Windless in the future, change the solenoid, it is original and old.

I think my shower sump might not be functioning. Where is it located on a 2001 AJ?
The shower sump and the AC condensate line sump are located under the aluminum diamond plate step in the engine room. Just replaced mine.

Thanks very much, great help. Is the part(s) readily available or would it be specific to Sea Ray?

$165 at West Marine, you can order on line for less. I needed it quickly so I paid the extra to grab off the shelf at local store. This is the new version of old unit.

Have an issue with my “Systems Monitor “ was idling in a No Wake Zone and heard two beeps. Looked at monitor and saw Starboard engine diagnostic. Then went right back to “All systems normal” This went off with two beeps and “Starboard Engine Diagnostics” every minute. Engine runs fine without any noticeable issue. Temp, RPM, Power all normal. I changed the plugs, fuel water separator after I got back to Marina. Can’t get the monitor to reset. Does anyone have an idea of what the issue could be? Thanks

Check the raw water pump pressure sensors. These will short out and send either low pressure or high pressure to smart craft system. High pressure will send two beeps about every minute or two, boat will run ok. However if low pressure the system will limit RPM to 1500 and two beeps every minute or two. Sensor is located on back side or raw water pump by blue drain plug. Unplug wire and unscrew. I purchased a short wrench so I could replace without pulling pump.

Sounds like you are getting a high pressure sent to smart craft system.

Gr8fulted, thanks for the response. I ended up taking it to a shop yesterday to have them read the fault with a computer. I would of tried that first but I am running out of time before my trip. I will wait to see what they tell me and if they don’t have any answers I will do that next!

Thanks, Joey! Like I have said before I feel like a HACK when compared to what I've seen others do. Found a few other projects to address along the way: shower drain was leaking (a nightmare to access and can only if the A/C unit is removed), fixed the leaking hatch and wiper motors by removing and resetting with 3M 5200, and rebuilt the motor for the couch folding down (I actually added a fold down swinging leg to support the end furthest from the stairs and now you don't feel like you're falling out of it!). Good stuff all around. Let's keep these 330's/340's around. I have said it before and I'll say it again- no boat compares to the price per pound you get out of these things. People are astounded when I tell them it's a 33! as we all know it's really a 38, BUT when I'm paying by the foot it's a 33 ;)View attachment 105884 View attachment 105886
Did you remove the hatch? or just seal around the edge

So The service center did not see any codes. I replaced the water pressure sensor and still getting the beeping . It put me back into guardian mode. Boat ran great the whole way back from the service center. Went to leave today for a cruise and the starboard engine would not go ove 2K. Still beeping every minute.

Does anyone have any tips for replacing the wiper arms? Seems pretty clear the part is the Marinco AFI 33037A. There is a plate that attaches to the fiberglass with a screw on one side, then there is a hole that goes over the wiper drive and attaches there via a nut. I intend to replace both, but the one I tried to take off seems to be also attached with some epoxy or other adhesive. Should I use a putty knife or paint scraper to remove it, and should I use anything similar when putting in new one? Also, these say “adjustable 17” - 22”, and I’d like to have as big a blade as possible but the one I have on there now is only 16.5” long. Any idea what is the maximum size our boats could take? The wiper arm itself came with zero instructions, and I’ve found minimal help on You Tube.
