How to change floors in 290 sundancer

Here is what I had installed 2 years ago, NuTeak,?, by c-flor, very labor intensive, but that’s probably any flooring where you remove the carpets. We did this when we bought the boat,wife made it a requirement, carpets don’t belong on boats. Still amazes me how long it took manufacturers to start using wood-like Flooring in boats. My neighbor Gary installed this himself, he basically would spend a few hours on the boat each day sanding, a good chunk of the work for him was prepping the surface. View attachment 64477

Yes, the installer used some molding of the appropriate height, but cannot really comment on “how”, since I did not install.
 
I’m thinking of doing exactly this. How has it held up? I think you would have had it for a few years now.

we sold the boat at the end of last season but it held up just fine. Minor scratches from a 2 year old, but no issues otherwise. I’ll be doing something similar on our new boat this winter
