Hello,

I have a Simrad Go XSE, SeaRay 19” SPX 190 2021 brand new with Simrad already installed a year ago when I bought the boat, and the depth finder has been working fine all year until last 2 days. I keep my SeaRay in a high n dry usually. I kept it in the water in my slip behind my condo the last 7 days and noticed some small barnacle growth over the bottom and some barnacles on the transducer which is mounted in the bottom center of the hull. Could the barnacles on the transducer be the issue as to why I’m now not getting any depth readings? I was getting depth readings intermittently while moving and then nothing at all. I am getting temperaturereadings. Thanks for any help provided. Tommy

Did it come with the total scan transponder?

I have had the go7 for about five years now, and I hate to say it, but it’s a complete POS. I’m trying to decide if I want to order my 3rd transponder or just ditch the entire system and go with something that doesn’t show me on land as I’m entering an inlet.

Thanks for replying. Yes, it is a total scan transponder. I have not had an issues with the Simrad but since reading several posts on other sites about this issue it’s probably not reading the depth due to some barnacle coverage.
