My Promatic 30-3 battery charger (original component to my 2000 340 Sundancer) is not working. I need to replace it.

There must be significant upgrades that have been made since 2000 to this component.... I don't know how hard or easy it would be to replace the existing unit myself. It almost looks like a disconnect/re-connect process. But I may be a over simplifying the process

Any suggestions/recommendations regarding the procedure to follow to replace it, and/or suggestions for the appropriate new unit ti use, would be appreciated?

I'm partial to Newmar Products n Chargers https://dcpoweronboard.com/battery-chargers/

Call or email them Phone: 1-800-854-3906. The guys are knowledgeable and will help you out.

Example of prices https://powerwerx.com/newmar-pt-series-battery-chargers

There's not much to screw up when swapping out (assuming the amps, etc are the same). Just a handful of wires and as long as long all in good condition and the correct gauge could just be a simple job. Just turn all the power off before doing any work, of course.

I recently replaced my Promatic 30-3 with a Pronautic 1230 I picked up on E-bay. Half the price.

Easy direct swap-out. Be sure to disconnect charging leads from batteries by either removing the in-line fuses or removing from battery.

The mounting hole locations are different, so you'll have to get creative.

Hopefully you can find one in stock. I show them out of stock at distribution. Call me if you have have questions.

Replace it with a Pronautic 1230 or 1240 and it will be a direct swap and a much better modern charger/converter

I upgraded to the 1240 for the $100 difference. However I got a new 1230 from the previous owner and had a failure under warranty and they allowed an upgrade.

If you will call them directly and explain you are changing out one of theirs for another one of theirs, they will give you a discount for being a loyal customer.

I called Promariner a few months ago when my 30-3 went down. Asked if I could get a discount. They said no discount. That's when I went to Ebay...
