How bout a cigar thread

On one note, there is an upcoming Sea Ray cigar party at Haden's house !

You guys talking about Acids made me stop at the cigar store. I was headed out golfing and stopped specifically to try Acids. I got a couple Blondie maduros. They are sweet even without being lit. Perfect size too. Very nice

I have smoked a lot of the acid line over the years. Windy cody is good, sweet Jane (deadwood tobacco), earthiness, atom maduro, Kuba maduro all are good and worth your time if you like non traditional smokes
 
They could lighten up a bit on the sweet gum on the caps but the roll is impeccable, the burn perfect and I’ve never had a bad one.

Top notch QC and skills there.

Time to dig into the rest of the DE offerings now that summer’s here.

I have never smoked any of the deadwood tobacco, how does that differ from the traditional? I have heard mixed responses.

The fat bottom Betty and sweet Jane are fantastic IMO , 2 different sizes of the same flavors. Both are made by Acid. I have bought a box of the sweet Jane’s l, that’s how much I like them...

From what I have read, I may be with you on that. Going to try a 5 pack first. Thanks for posting that Deadwood Tobacco piece.
 
I’m kind of late to this party……One of my favorites has been a Romeo y Juliet Reserva real Churchill. I tried an Acid kuba kuba a couple of years ago and really enjoyed it. I have been smoking more Acids and recently ordered a box of Acid kuba grande. Whenever I light up an Acid on the dock, people generally comment about how nice it smells.

My fav cigar is a cheapie, but a goodie, 2 bills at my local cigar shop, it’s Trader Jacks, wonderful sweet smell and taste, and doesn’t come close to breaking the bank:)
 
I’m going to try to smoke many cigars over the next three days!! Will follow up with pictures. Opus X, Liga Privada, Davidoff, etc…
 
Scored a box of CAO Pilon and smoked the First last night, really enjoyed it - especially for what we paid for the box.
 
I may have to try an Acid again. I tried a few back about 20 years ago when they were pretty new and they (in my mind) were awful. I would definitely not mind an Opus X while I’m buffing on the boat but my go to was always the Fuente 858. Cheap but a pretty decent smoke. Damn guys….. now I’m wanting one.

If you truly like the Fuente 858, you will not like the infused or sweet Acid cigars. Continue to buy Fuente’s.
 
I will say i really liked the nub camaroons they give a lot of flavor and smoke,they last only a little lest than a traditional cigar .I still smoke a undercrown every day robusto grande. The ligas are also a treat.
 
I’m back to my daily smoke, Rocky Patel the Edge Maduros.
Strong but tons of flavor.
Espresso coffee, cocoa, coffee and more coffee. Little hint of chocolate and nuts but strong smoke.
