Why Do You Believe Them?

Governments, including the US have been caught lying, and worse, often for little reason. They have proven untrustworthy over and over again. Why do you trust them?

The media has proven over and over again they will do anything for ratings, clicks or to push a narrative. Why do you trust them.

Big corporations, including big pharmaceuticals have been caught doing very despicable things to make money or worse. Why do you trust them.

I ask because so many here seem to put a lot of trust in all the above and scoff and ridicule those that do not reflexively trust what they put out.

Screw me once shame on you, screw me twice shame on me...

Our political leaders only care about themselves and know that as long as they stay in power they will continue to enrich themselves.

Not necessarily. Much of the population just doesn't give a crap and knows that pounding our little fists and kicking our little feet is entirely pointless. Anyone over 30 that has not realized that power corrupts is naieve. Politicians, corporate execs, cops or local bureaucrats: why would they be altruistic? Go back two thousand years and it was much the same. I'm an old guy who spends zero time worrying about things or people beyond my direct influence. People have wasted their lives worrying about communism, terrorism, conspiracies and scandals. I'd worry a little bit if my boat wouldn't start but it always does!

Holy phuck...just launched
My fridge shuts down day one
I lose my battery charger at same time
Guest toilet stops pumping
Seatalk failure ...which is insane...no reason for this
And I am adding some cameras and a WiFi access point

not a good start...but the boat owes me nothing...it has been flawless for years... parts are coming... should be back to normal in two weeks

The battery charger was my fault... I saw the signs last year and it didn’t resonate....now that I think back I should have been smarter. This boat owes me nothing just glad all the crap happened at once and early in the season ... I tell you no battery charger and no fridge is no way to go boating.... Blueone out
