Just for everyones information I have a 1987 390 EC with Mercruiser 340's (454 GM) I had a pretty good oil leak on the port engine that was close to the stringer it kept getting worse and I finally figured out where it was coming from after a lot of searching and cardboard and mirrors and so on.The canister where the normal oil filters go on the back of the block had gotten about a 1/2 to 3/4 turn loose. I put a box end wrench on it and tightened it back up and no leak for now. The oil was running across the engine to the other side which made it a little tricky to figure out.The starboard engine was also loose but not as bad about 1/4 turn.Just thought this may help someone else down the road.
