With our inept running the country or is it his handlers pulling his strings we are on the road to another Civil War against a corrupt democratic government. Attacking the Amendments, attacking the Constitution, no more borders, packing the courts like Britain did , and too many other things to mention like how come there are no guns or ammunition or components for sale to the public. To the democrats who will be on the front line ,you will be the first to fall.
If you don`t stand for America, then you stand with the democratic communists and will be destroyed.
Time has come to stand and fight or serve them on your knees.
Get out and vote them out.

Guessing when were all in the camps getting re-educated to the Communist way and the true Patriots

Your crew is pitiful. You never speak about how great your life is or your wife is. You never talk about your wonderful kids or grandkids or how much you enjoy your boating adventures. You obsess at how your way of life is threatened by "communists" ffs! And you rant on about how much you love your crazy interpretation of 2nd ammendment "rights" and how your life would be over if it weren't for your guns. Step back, take a look. You are wasting your lives, immersed in stupidity.

Thanks and I certainly appreciate that, Ollie. And thanks for being respectful and open to alternate perspectives. I have friends and family in the U.S. and we very much enjoy boating in the San Juan Islands, so I have an interest in what goes on there. We have much in common with our neighbours and we are always made to feel at home whenever we travel in the U.S. We often visit with American folks at the docks, whether fishing or cruising in our home waters (before Covid) and they certainly enjoy being here (except for our outrageous gas prices).

The only two things I don't get are the abundant fear of some "enemy at the gates" whether "communist", socialist, Democrat, Canadian ;) libtard or Mexican, that you must defend yourselves against. The other is the paranoia and obsession surrounding the "right" to bear arms and guns, generally. Wouldn't your families and the future be much better without the constant fear-mongering and the epidemic of perpetual gun violence?

Our governments are begrudgingly tolerated - either party, our immigrants are mostly welcomed here, our guns only come out in hunting season and our big fear is that our favorite hockey team won't make it to the finals, again :D. I do worry that my grandkids won't be able to get a good job or afford a house. I did worry about Covid but the vaccine is available, now. Otherwise I'm happy here, looking forward to another awesome boating season. I'm very thankful for the good people in my life, for what we have and the life we are so fortunate to live here. :)

I’m just trying figure out how I gonna do outdrive service, paint bottom and drive, in all this rain before marina demands I launch boat cause I blocking others. I wish I had the luxury to worry about the coming civil war.

Well you obviously don't understand freedom and individual liberty. History tells us that someone is always trying to restrict our God given rights to freedom and liberty. So you have to fight them at every turn -- sometimes politically, sometimes in armed conflict. Otherwise, you're just the frog in the boiling pot of water.

As for your claim of an "epidemic of perpetual gun violence" that is just a false narrative from your media friends you buy into. For the average American, there is no such thing, and the stats applicable to most don't back that up. You know where the gun violence is -- it's in the urban areas. For example, some Chicago neighborhoods are virtual war zones. The gun of choice, is that weapon of war, the handgun.
 
Not one of us is complaining about our lifestyle or family and friends. Thats where you go off in a different direction. This is one independent topic. As far as immigration do you have thousands of people ILLEGALLY trying to enter your country and live off the backs of hard working , tax paying people ?
So if someone wants to take something from me they better be able to run faster than 3000 feet per second .

I would wager most of us have our own impressions about your country, but it really is not our business to lecture you about anything we disagree with anymore than you have any right to tell us what is important/valued.

So, my semi-polite response to you is clam up and MYOB.

You would be surprised how much news media and television programming from the networks is pumped into Canada from the US. We get nothing here about Canada... our weather forecasts just stop at the border for example.
So when you are in Canada you feel like you know what is going on here and you feel compelled to have an opinion....my family does, all my friends do... it’s just the way it is... it’s another example of media brainwashing

I fully expect them to have an opinion. I’d call them a liar if they claimed otherwise.


That said, as I said before, they do not have the right to tell me what I should or should not be able to do, or what laws I should or should not agree with.

This is true ..... my family emigrated here from Canada. We get next to nothing in the news about it, so I hear mostly what's going on from my relatives Down East.
 
For those who are not into firearms -- whether it's personal protection, target practice, collecting etc ...

Imagine these ideas applied to boating.

You have a 44 footer? You don't need anything more than 20 feet.

You don't need more than 150 hp.

We really need background checks on boaters. And a special luxury tax at fuel docks. How about a speed limit of 10 mph?
