Hi Everyone,

I've been getting a lot request for name changes, as many have registered using their real name. When you register DO NOT use your real name unless you really want to.

Thanks and Welcome to CSR!

I’m really new and apparently not bright. I can’t seem to find where you access the 400ec thread. Also, how do you create a post of your own. And yes, I prob wouldn’t have used my real name either!

We were all new here at one time or another. Welcome aboard.

To make a new post:

Click on the Forum tab above. Select the forum you want to post in, such as "Who's Who". Look for the white box that says "Post New Thread". Type your thread title. Then type your post and click "Create Thread". You just created a new post.

Another note: If you use the contact us link, and I don't get back to you within a reasonable time frame, (24 hours) please try it again. For some reason I cannot convince MSN that emails coming from CSR are not junk, so better than 50% of the time, the email goes straight to my junk folder.

I check my junk folder at least once a day and empty it, so hopefully I can catch the emails, but occasionally I am sure some slip through the cracks. Thanks for your understanding.

any chance that you can turn on the preview we used to get with email alerts? Helps to see a couple of lines before logging in to read the whole thing.

Jim would be the one to contact for that, I don't have anything to do with the inner workings of the site.

How does one go about changing the name?

I think I still can get into the system, what would you like to change it to? Please give several options in case your first choice is taken.

How do you edit your name? Do you have to re-register with a different name?

Thank you for your prompt reply! Who do I need to contact?

Yes. Can I change my name to "TXSundeckGuy"

Scott going to hijack your thread slightly...
I understand people who may rather use there boat name or some boating reference.
But I have no problem with someone knowing who I am.
You can find me in many places with this same handle. Facebook, etc.

I don't like the "I want to be anonymous concept" it tends to lead to rudeness.
I have seen many newbies asking in the wrong forum, or in a manner that is simply uniformed, get berated and chased off by snide comments.
If any of you newbies do, just know there is an "ignore member" option on each of our profiles, take advantage of it.

Perhaps we should all be completely identifiable. We would likely behave better.

“These are the things I learned (in Kindergarten):
1. Share everything.
2. Play fair.
3. Don't hit people. (including verbally)
4. Put things back where you found them.
5. CLEAN UP YOUR OWN MESS.
6. Don't take things that aren't yours.
7. Say you're SORRY when you HURT somebody.
8. Wash your hands before you eat.
9. Flush.
10. Warm cookies and cold milk are good for you.
11. Live a balanced life - learn some and drink some and draw some and paint some and sing and dance and play and work everyday some.
12. Take a nap every afternoon.
13. When you go out into the world, watch out for traffic, hold hands, and stick together.
14. Be aware of wonder. Remember the little seed in the Styrofoam cup: The roots go down and the plant goes up and nobody really knows how or why, but we are all like that.
15. Goldfish and hamster and white mice and even the little seed in the Styrofoam cup - they all die. So do we.
16. And then remember the Dick-and-Jane books and the first word you learned - the biggest word of all - LOOK.”

Welcome to all, and to all "Fair Seas"...
