Hello all you fine PNW peeps.
With the few days of nice weather and warmer temps, I decided to go out and do my transom seals. Having two drives I put it off long enough. I started with the port side because I thought that was going to be the worst side. Yeah, I know, they are the same. After breaking my home made gimble bearing tool, I went and bought the high dollar tools off the bay. After pulling two bearings and driving both in in the span of one day, I thought I'd throw this out to us locals of the PDX area. If you want to come to me and use driveway, your welcome to come use the puller and bearing driver. If you want them dropped off or to meet some place then I would ask a deposit for them.
If your needing to do gimble bearing and bellows, a single drive can be done in less than a day. If I would have had all my stuff together and bearings in the freezer before starting, I could have had both drives torn down and put back together in one day.
