Another Pet Peave

We’re heading to Florida in a couple weeks. One of the goals is to look for a new home and hospital to work. Wife just got her anesthesia license there. If the right situation comes up we’re getting the hell out of Michigan. We’ve had it with whitmer and other socialist here. They’re gonna cheat in 2022 to keep her in office so there won’t be relief any time soon. We love the Great Lakes but it’s time for us

I am already telling my customers I won’t grow the Michigan facility... last week I told One customer their parts would be supplied from Indiana within a year and they were thrilled.... I think it was freight related :).... but still

I'm not ready to pitch in the towel and live off grid in the deep woods. This past weekend in between the largest of the the year's two winter storms that dropped 10 feet of snow in the mountains, we had a near 70 degree sunny weekend with barely a ripple on the water. I guess I'm willing to continue to pay a premium for that. If I don't turn on the news and just do some cathartic chores on the ranch or rub on my boat I wouldn't know the difference. Its all about perspective I guess.

Similar feeling here. I'm not a Long Island native, but after 18 years I've gotten used to it. Ready access to the water from nearly anywhere on the island is a huge asset for me. Reading the posts about people driving hours to their boats when I can be on ours in 15 minutes puts it in perspective. My wife and I talk about where we want to live later in life, and it's a hard question because we want to be near the water. NY surely has problems and high taxes, but I guess I can say that at least we don't get taxed on the value of our cars each year. Sales tax 1x, then a 2 year registration is like $100. Boat registrations are for 3 years.

Biden will bail you out... you should be fine

Great Lakes if you going house hunting in Florida I have a friend there that is a great real-estate agent. She sold me two homes in Las Vegas and moved to Florida and is doing business there. She is truly a great person and will treat you right. Her name is Amy Camasso and I believe works for Century 21. Look her up and tell her I lead you that way you won't be sorry.

Florida; Gods waiting room.

Except I’m 44 and hopefully have another 44 ahead of me that I wanna enjoy
I'm gonna be 59 next month and actually I'm kinda glad I'm not 44. I love life on my terms but not so sure we will be dictating our terms in 40 years the way its looking. Lets hope that future generations get to study history so as not to repeat it.
Cheers

It resides instead in my twin brother's hangar with the rest of the classic cars, boats, and airplanes in the extended family museum.

Short highjack: Would like to see a picture or 2 of the collection.

Well Blue one, That is a question that is often pondered but in reality, where would we go? As it has been pointed out many times in various conversations, The Libs that are leaving the regions that they helped destroy are settling in Red regions and slowly but surely influencing policy in those places as well. I'm not ready to pitch in the towel and live off grid in the deep woods. -snip

You just described a parasite. It kills the host and then goes searching for a new one.
