Celebrating America? Gag me with a spoon please!

Yeah, we get illegals, too. They all come up from the States. We should build a wall and get the U.S. to pay for it.

Hahahahaha. Nobody migrates to Canada mate. Only reason we went to Quebec and Montreal was for hockey games. Otherwise you can keep it.

That’s because you went to Quebec....the rest of Canada is very nice and friendly :)
Yeah - we enjoyed our annual fly-in walleye fishing trips on Family Lake Ontario. Great resort owners. We also used to do an annual business fishing trip in Whitefish Bay Ontario. Great resort owners there as well. Became friends with them.

Now you have me reminiscing. :)

I was going to bring Bob and Doug that into the beer comments earlier, eh. Remember the Canadian stubby bottles? I think Red Stripe from Jamaica still uses that style.
Canadians are very friendly and proud of our country. Happy to have any one of you come up here and I will show you what Canada is all about, and put any political views aside. (Well, maybe not the Captain. He seems a bit unstable.) But the rest of you, are welcome to ping me if you are coming up Georgian Bay way. Kind of like having a beer after a tough hockey game. You leave it on the ice.

Likewise !!

My son played travel hockey out of Chicago, played for the Highland Park Falcons. His 14U team won the National Championships. All during his hockey career he played on a few select teams in the off season. They always played teams from Canada. It was great. 17 minute periods, real hitting. We always kicked their asses. They hated that team from the US came up there and beat them at their own game. I loved it. I was one of those dads that rubbed it in to those canuck parents.
Our US Women hockey teams have started beating the Canadians and in the last few NHL drafts US players were selected in the top 5 and top 10.

I don't see any Canuck playing football in the NFL hehehehehehe.
I always think the rivalry between Canada and the U.S. just adds to the NHL experience. There are some fantastic players on both sides of the border. Players who have been bruising each other in every second of every game, line up to shake hands and wish each other well.

I was in Niagra Falls back in the mid 90's and brought back a few bottles of Molson XXX and there was another Molson that was high alcohol content. From what I remember they were not allowed to be sold in the U.S. because of the high content. Last week we were at a grocery store in Ohio and they had XXX there. I pointed it out to my wife

Here is why we are all subject to what you are describing at airports, lest you forget. Not a Mexican in sight. Illegal one or otherwise.

I think you missed the point.
No I very much got the point. His original post was one of those inflammatory anti-immigration posts that is linking unrelated things to try to make a point. The need for airport security because of terrorism has nothing to do with the issue of illegal immigration at the Mexican border. But it elicits a bunch of "hell yeah" "likes" by those that hate both, but its not related.

So, let's say terrorism made its way illegally into the US through open border policies and does damage to US citizens - are you saying only then is when we should institute security similar to airports at our borders?

So since 9/11 (Saudi terrorists that somehow caused a war with Iraq???) the only terrorist attacks in the U.S. have been domestic not foreign, by American white people, including the very recent attack on the Capital, but you are more worried about Mexicans??? The Mexicans that willingly wash your car, clean your house, cut your lawn, harvest your fruit and vegetables, change your oil, cook your fast food, provide child care for your kids, walk your dog, help build your homes, serve you at WalMart and detail your boat?
Those Mexicans?

I agree, he missed the point.
I absolutely got the point that the post was trying to make. I think its ridiculous to say its ironic that you have the inconvenience of airport security caused by radical Islamic terrorists, and yet there is a problem with illegal immigration at the Mexican border. Very different issue and very different problem.
