Check your raw seawater hoses!

Wow, Ours is back in lake less engines. That is until January when the marina can reinstall. I'm tiding things up and catching up easily accessible items as best a possible.

Do the ones above the water line too. Paint the new fittings with Imron or Awlgrip to match the hull. Paint will stop UV damage from occurring and keep them looking like new.
What is Bedding?

edit... Sealant bedding. I get it now. I had the marina inspect the ball valves, repack the rudder stuffing boxes. Found out I have the drip-less shafts but marina say's they're leaking and might need new hoses. Man never ending battles. Break Out Another Thousand. Oh Well its got to be right.

So guessing I should consider myself lucky. I have both 454's out of our 90 sundancer 350. While in the engine bay, I noticed the stbd raw water hose from the cock to pump to be internally rotten and plugged. See picture. I was warned to inspect these regularly. Oops... I neglected to do so. Good news is I didn't have to pay extract our boat from the bottom of a 200 foot lake. Testimonial to the fact. Check and change your raw water hoses frequently otherwise the result will be inevitable. Yikes!

Mine looked exactly the same, collapsed in the middle. I replaced all of them 2 years ago when I purchased my boat.

I’m looking to replace my intake hoses on 3116’s 1999 410 express. I swear the photo I took this fall said MPI 2”. My eyes may be getting bad. Manual shows 1.25” I’m wondering if the 1.25” is for gas engines. See attached photos. Any help will be Appreciated.

Spring is built into the hose, it doesn't touch the water, just reinforces the hose.
Having trouble locating 3/4" hard-wall wire in marine 100. All I find is the stuff sold at west marine "250/252 series" which I can squeeze in my hand. I don't feel this stuff is suitable for vacuum application below waterline. I need it for both my Kohler 5ECD as well as the AC March pump. About 10' needed in all. Only place located was e-bay :(

Overton's shows 3/4" wire-reinforced hose in ten-foot lengths for $56.59, saying it "is reinforced with wire helix imbedded between plies of HD synthetic cord. Hose is resistant to exhaust fumes, ozone, mild chemicals, antifreeze, and saltwater"

Yeah, Following my post but prior to your response I learned that green stripe 100 series wire in is obsolete. The new build standard is J2006 250 series wire reinforced just as overtons sells in your link.
So I've completely redone all of the below water line hoses with obsolete stuff. The good news is the green strip 100 series hoses I pulled has to be original to the boat and 30 years old. Also she sits in North Georgia mud water so I'll be in the hole before the hose develops one. Thanks for your help BTW!

Just got through replacing all the Raw water lines and all the Poo lines in our 2009 55. I was amazed at the poor condition. This is a big job but not doing it can sink your boat or fill it up with poo when a line breaks. There is a lot better hose on the market than what was used in building these boats.
This I found out but too late. I had already ordered and now replaced all below water line hose with outdated crap Green stripe 100 series wire in. I learned this following my OP. The new norm is J2006 250/252 Reinforced which has a blue stripe. LOL.
