Ugly Boats

Here’s one. Was in Falmouth harbor for a week. I didn’t catch the name or Make but it was even uglier in real life.

One of those Carver Mariners in my harbor this year. I saw it coming into the dock and commented to a guest that it's widely considered one of the ugliest boats produced. After it docked, my daughter saw the inside of the cabin and asked me in horror, "Daddy why is the inside of that boat so MESSY? You would NEVER let our boat get like that!" I quietly told her everyone boats differently.

The owner seems nice and is out on the boat every weekend with guests; he sure does use it a lot.

But the kicker: As it was departing the dock I noticed a big portable Honda generator sitting in the cockpit - like an RV or job site type. Somehow I wasn't surprised.

Carver Mariner. To me it looks like Shamu. I will say though, the interior on those are amazing given the size of the boat. Maybe that's the issue... The hull might be designed around the cabin. I pass two on the way out of the marina. Ugh. Pics soon!
Agreed. Bizarre design...

Just noticed how old this thread is!

I just got my new copy of PMY and I was just about blown away. The first ~20 pages of the magazine were full of ads and I was amazed at how UGLY most of them were. Of course that's my opinion and YMMV.

Hey my boat friend has one of those...probably the best interior layout for a couple ever made
I have been on a Mariner too. Fugly on the outside, but the layout inside is not too bad for the size of the boat.
But hey, I owned an AMC Pacer and thought it was a cool car at the time. Landau roof version no less.
