SeaLift Hydraulic Swim Platform

I agree with the above that the Sealift was the best investment I’ve ever made. We LOVE it. And I feel it’s simple, one cylinder design, along with folding chocks, is above the competition.

@J.Wilt ..But why the 30% increase in the last 5 years?
These people worked at SeaRay, they know now that SeaRay stopped making the larger cruisers the value just increased and people are dumping money into their used boats.
I just dropped another 20k on electronics because we like this boat so much.

Funny to see this thread resurface. I quoted a SeaLift in the fall after seeing yours in Milwaukee, @J.Wilt. The price was insane even before install. I quickly pivoted to a new extended platform and an H30+ davit for one third the cost. Still not a hydraulic platform...but at least the kids don't have to eat Ramen noodles all summer long this year :)

Two issues:

1). Finding installers. Good ones are like gypsies and keep moving around. FBT have a travel team that works the East Coast and the West Coast.

Some yards will take on the work. If they haven’t done one before....I’m not sure I would want them to do it.

Keep in mind yard hourly rates have risen as well.

2). I bought my lift from TNT in 2003 and it was a whopping $10k. The fiberglass platform had to be custom built and color matched. I can’t imagine that was cheap and probably accounted for 40% of the cost.

The rest was stainless steel and two custom built stainless steel Hydraulic rams. The only off the shelf items were the pump, breaker, hoses and wiring.

I installed it myself and drilling 20+ holes in a perfectly good transom will give you pause.

You can do it yourself and save some money.
