This feels like a troll post. You describe an obvious POS boat and ask us to vote on whether you should walk away.

not sure if serious.....

not a troll ! I feel the condition could go either way
I don't believe it has sunk , but more freezer leak or shower create the stains on the carpet. mechanical wise the condition is inline with a boat that received no maintenance or use in 2 years
electrical problems could be generated by having a mixed battery config (age, acid) with a bad charger.
not all boats or maintained equally (obviously) some like Frank's are jewels! others require major elbow grease and TLC to bring back to life
everything depends on the purchasing price ! is the value is 90k and require 15-20k and you can buy it for 60-70k ! it might just be worth it

Well, unless this is an extremely rare boat which exactly matches your needs, I would walk away. Sure given enough time and money, almost anything can be repaired, but how much is your time and effort worth? There are a lot of nice boats out there, ready to float.

You've committed one of the cardinal sins of boat buying here. You've become emotionally attached to this boat and/or this deal. Objectively, there is no defending this boat in the condition it's in for it's age. That is not 2 years of deferred maintenance. That's not 10 years of deferred maintenance.

If you think you can bring it up to snuff with $20k, water in both engines, generator INOP, you're dreaming...dreaming a horrible dream...one that likely ends with a boat on the hard, an empty wallet and a drinking problem...well, that's how it would end for me anyway :)

I'd be willing to bet your $20k would be fully consumed simply replacing carpet, fridge, ice maker and electronics. And that assumes you're able to find some used electronics. $20k is long gone before even touching the engines...

If you can pick it up for 25-25kk, take it and plan to put another 40-50k into it. You'll have a beautiful boat. Otherwise, run.

Zero reasons to buy this boat. This coming from someone who can rationalize anything.
