Show off your boat!!!

How do you like the baby Axioms? I just added the twin 12" Pros but have a 9" Garmin/Volvo GPSMap for an engine display. After seeing the greater data range on the Axioms I've considered adding a third small display to replace the Garmin. How visible are the Dashboard pages on the small displays?
had to switch them to Simrad as nmea data wasn't working properly on the Raymarine. I'm Not sure why the bridge wasn't working with the Raymarine but i like the Simrad better for visibility.

Happy New Year! I'm relatively new here. and I apologize for the New Years day message. It's rainy and cold here on Long Island and have NOTHING better to do than sit at the computer and buy stuff for out new to us 310DA. I am super impressed with the camper canvas you have installed. Was that a custom install? I have looked on-line for a manufacture to supply it but no luck. RNR Marine I thought would be able to produce it but... What can you tell me about yours. Thanks for ANY info. BTW, LOVE all of your upgraded interior work.

You still need to show a pic of your boat :)

Terryp.......your home port shows the Hat, Alberta, but would your boat be docked at Camelot Island, TINP? Here we are tied up at Endymion....
Just curious.

I suspect that may be a consequence of the gateway. I have two different ones; Volvo Nmea2k and a Raymarine ECI100, and noticed small differences between the two. The Volvo gateway feeds a devicenet nmea2k network for the Garmin display. The RM feeds all of the navigation hardware. I’ve noticed the RM gear shows little things like hours in 99.9 format and Volvo truncates the fractional part. The old E120Ws were fed by the Volvo gateway and showed the same level of accuracy. The ECI100 was added with the Axiom upgrade primarily as the interface with the new EV2 autopilot.

I’ve tried getting a list of what the Volvo EVC (their Smartcraft) exports, but Volvo thinks that’s Top Secret. I’m thinking to stub off the Volvo gateway and feed the Garmin (or small Axiom) off the STNG wiring.

Hi Timeflys, thanks for noticing. Yes, you are right on both counts. I live & work in Medicine Hat, Alberta, but moor at Hucks in Rockport. This is my 5th Searay, and have had them all at different spots. My 1st was a 2003.5 340 moored in Clearwater, Florida. 2nd was a 2007 Sundancer 40 moored in Sydney, B.C.. 3rd was a 2006 Sundancer 300 moored in Kelowna, BC. 4th was a 2014 Sundancer 310, bought this month a year ago from Hucks. Put 200 hours on this summer, doing both the Rideau Canal, and then the Trent-Severn up into Georgian Bay. Just traded on this 450, also from Hucks in late Sept. is going to be my boat I do The Great Loop in, starting spring of 2022. This was my first time ever spent in the 1000 Islands, and have to say, the area is gorgeous!

Hello and thank you for accepting me to this forum. We brought our 1st boat 1998 330 Sundancer in November so we haven't had any time to use it yet but wait till spring.
