Official 19SPX/21SPX/SPX190/SPX210 Thread

Picked up the OEM mooring cover, and pleased with the quality.

I reached out to Great Lakes Boat Top who did the stock canvas and they connected me with their sister company Westland Covers who did the mooring. This is the Sea Ray part number they pulled from my HIN.

It’s synthetic, definitely not canvas. Came with two support poles and two built in vents. Velcro pockets to make it around the Bimini, flaps for each cleat so you can tie through it. Ties down with a sewn in strap the tightens via a ratchet in a zippered pocket in the stern.

Right around 600 shipped. They custom made and shipped in about a week.

If anyone has put a boat name on the back of a SPX 210, would you please share a picture. We trying to decide how lay it out, but there does not seem to be much room.

Took some planning and measuring, attached. I can try to find the order with dimensions if you need them. On our 19, but would imagine it's the same.

Got a nice set of registration numbers from the same outfit.

We put it in the middle so it would be symmetrical. Also had matching registration numbers made.

Thank you. I'll take measurements and play around with some designs.

Hello Everyone, proud owner new to me 2016 19 SPX, pick up in the spring. I just Sold my 2002 Chaparral 260 Signature and downsized to something more practical for water sports. (going to miss that head) Looking for suggestions on prop for tow sports, not looking for crazy top end speed. I believe it has 19” black max prop. Also interested in info on anyone who has added a second battery, charge controller and switch. Boat is 4.3L MPI. Thanks

Ours is an outboard, so there may be some differences. Ours also came with a 19" Black Max. We switched to a 19" Enertia and what a difference. Awesome performance. Decreased the slip to less than 8%. Best prop I ever had.

I also put on a battery switch. I think it may have cost $30, which was a far cry from what SeaRay wanted to charge when we had the boat built. Since the battery is so close to the stbd side hatch I saw no need for a charger since I can simply open the hatch and clip on charger cables. Plus, if I added that and a second battery it would eliminate the cooler space.

My 2018 with 4.5l 200hp came with 14.5x19 Black Max according to Sea Ray. I bought the boat used and it has a Mercury Spitfire 14x19 4 blade 8m0084495. It goes 45mph and have to throttle back to keep it under the red line. Supposedly the previous owner traded this in on a full wakeboard boat so it all points to previous owner switching to this prop looking for more hole shot. It certainly gets up and going nicely.

Out of curiosity, has anyone installed Nauticus smart tabs on the 19 SPX or 190SPX when changing out prop for better hole shot? My concern is the admiral will not be happy with excessive bow rise and not like this boat. Keep in mind we have down graded from a 26' cruiser to a 19 foot bowrider and have yet to even sea trial or demo any bowriders.

Did Westland sell you the OEM cover directly or did you get it from a dealer?

Buster, welcome aboard!

I wouldn't do any prop changes or SmartTabs (which are great, by the way) just yet. That hull design is really good for watersports. Bow rise? Heck, you're going to have LESS bow rise than you're used to. Use the boat for a while, then decide if you need/want to spend more money. The 19" prop on there is likely the standard issue, but really, it works fantastic as is.

You don't "need" a charge controller. You can keep things simple and just install a 1-2-Both-Off switch (make sure it's a "make before break" type). You can take care of charging both batteries by switch operation. Pretty basic/straight forward install, though. But don't skimp on the wire. However, if you wanted to, you could add a Blue Seas ACR for automatic charging.

Has anyone ordered the Seadek from this template and confirmed they fit? I have the Grey and wondering if anyone has ordered that and can confirm exactly what the colour of grey it is. I am looking to get numbers 12,13,14 and 16

Thanks Lazy,
I will be storing boat on trailer in my driveway, so I guess a charge controller is not needed and I can always recharge at home. I just want to isolate the radio on a separate battery when anchored. I have already ran into an issue with my cruiser where i accidently had it on both and ended the day with dead batteries and needing a tow, so trying to avoid more drama. So this is what I should be looking for?

SeaDek... I don't know if that's the template I used (probably is) when I installed some pieces for a customer. However, I was not happy with the template. In some areas it was off by more than an inch. What you should do is order there "dryfit" template, then make and changes directly on the Dryfit. Send it back to them and then get the new, updated Dryfit to double check. These templates on their website come from some Joe Schmoe owner - so you never know if it's going to be accurate. Now, if they updated their template to what I had done - then it should be 100% accurate. I don't believe there should be any changes to worry about, but the boat I'm referencing was a 2019. But still order the Dryfit to be sure! :)

The grey is Titanium.

Thanks, I uploaded a picture of the seadek on swim platform. Do you happen to know what the thickness is when installed at factory>?

I do not see Titanium as a colour on their website. Do you know if they changed the name of the colour or do not offer it anymore? I guess I will have to contact them. This is what they show:

The newer radios use very little juice. All you need is a $3 digital 12 volt gauge plugged into your accessory plug and you'll get a real time view of your battery condition all day long.

I've been a boat owner for over 50 years and have owned many boats. The SPX has the least bow rise of any boat I ever owned. I would try it before I drilled all those nasty holes in the transom.

Buster, titanium is what Sea Ray called it. If memory serves, storm grey should match up. But, yes, call Seadek to double check me on that.

Thanks Jim,

I was planning on installing veselview, I assume this will show me battery level? I am used to running windlass, refrigerator, radio, gps/fishfinder while at anchor, so maybe just paranoid and dont need a second battery.
