Wife would like to add underwater light to our 380 while it is dry docked getting barrier paint, bottom paint, props tuned, new striping, complete tune up, buffed, waxed, etc. She wants something super bright, good quality, and dependable. Through hull or mounted to trim tabs? How many lights, and what brand do y’all recommend??

This is a link to my lights on my 320 that I sold.. I only put 2 Lumitec lights and I swear by them... Great quality.... And this was running up here in the NE in muck water..

Here’s a few pictures of my Seablaze ll. Murky water but they’re very bright.

Don’t buy this! The triple splitter broke on mine, and it almost sunk my boat. If I hadn’t noticed the bilge pump running overtime we’d have missed it, and the boat would have sunk when the batteries died.

I should mention that we never figured out why it broke. Either it’s a bad idea, and pressure from speed broke it, or the outdrive hit it during a turn or something. Maybe if you have two engines there is more clearance. YMMV but we aren’t trying again.

That's an awful lot of leverage on that small threaded area. Just looking at it it doesn't scream longevity to me.

We've had one of the Quasar RBG lights on our 240SD for awhile now and love it. Lots of light output and fun to change the color up. Not sure about that big triple light holder but the LED's themselves are good.

The brightest underwater lights are thru hulls versions. I have Aqualights https://www.aqualights.us/, just about to replace a pair of Xenon HID their blue LED at 6000 lumens. Thats 2x-3x brighter than the SeaBlaze Quattro. The nice part about these is they are replacable/upgradable in the water. They are about the same price as Lumitec Quattro. Made of naval bronze.

If you want color changing, they are not as bright or you'll need more of them.
