Probably not the best spokesman for the vaccine

When I was about 17yo I went to the chiropractor because I had a 'catch' in my lower back. After my treatment I went down to the pool hall to play snooker. I was standing by the table and the next thing you know I was on the floor with a couple guys looking down at me, I had passed out.

My mother always said bad things will happen if I kept hanging around that pool hall. I guess she was right again, playing pool is bad for your health.

Wears out the pockets, too! o_O

Regarding the nurse fainting, I'm not sure I believe this:

CHI Memorial Hospital doctors said the reaction was not related to the ingredients in the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine, which has been authorized for emergency use by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.

The nurse told reporters she has a condition that often causes her to faint when she experiences pain. As a result, Dover said she was not surprised that she had fainted after receiving the vaccine.

"I have a history of having an over-reactive vagal response, and so with that if I have pain from anything—hangnail or if I stub my toe—I can just pass out," Dover told WRCB Channel 3.

Then Blueone's assessment of the situation was 139% accurate. "Probably not the best spokesman for the vaccine"

Unfortunately this happens almost every time I give blood. sometimes even just a blood draw. It’s not fun. Didn’t start till I was about 45.

Vagal nerve my ass. Vagus response occurs at the time, it’s not delayed. If I choke you, you’re choking while I squeeze not 15 minutes latter.
There are vagus reactions in some funny body parts, one being the rectum. I don’t think they gave her a vaccine there.

It was a reaction to the vaccine, not the simple shot in the as...ehem, arm.

El Capitan I know you enjoy posting controversial statements. But you can kiss my AS!.

The first time this happened to me I got blood drawn in an ER, and it was ten minutes later in the waiting room when it hit me. Pounding heart, sweats, dizziness, I thought I was having a heart attack; nurse comes out checks me says your fine just "vagal nerve" reaction. And I'm going what the hell is that! Now I know it's not going to kill me but at the time I wasn't so sure.

You might not have a choice to get the vaccine if you are white...racialize vaccine distribution is getting closer at the CDC...Schmitt is one who is making the case to keep whites down the list of who gets it first...
I'll just tell 'em I identify as black and moonwalk into the clinic...

Now that this thread has turned racist, I will leave you to yourselves. I am surprised the Mods will allow it.

Post turning Racist? Really? Don't be such a snowflake. Rational adults should be able to discuss the news of the day and point out obvious phenomena with out being called racists. Rational adults can tell the difference between Racist rhetoric and a little tongue in cheek humor.
As to the racial angle of Vaccine distribution, I'm in the camp that thinks the vaccine should be distributed according to actual risk. Those that are the most likely to contract Covid-19 and have adverse recovery expectations should be prioritized. It has been widely reported that communities of color for a variety of reasons are disproportionately affected by the pandemic so simply discussing the issue and reposting a news piece on the subject should not automatically flag the post as going Racist!
But @Creekwood, believe me, I don't think anyone here will miss you. Merry Christmas

Nice to know what your trigger is for the future.... “CDC considering racial profiling for vaccine distribution”.. noted

I expect that there will be some that won't miss me on this thread. Those would be the people that don't want to hear any view other than their own, and use that ridiculous "snowflake" insult phrase to attempt to dismiss it.

"a little tongue in cheek humor" that is racist, is just racist. This thread is headed that way with the last few posts. Its disgusting, and I am not a melting snowflake. I am calling out racist statements.

You say you are in agreement with prioritizing based on risk, and race seems to be part of risk, so that is a logical statement. There are others posting that it seems do not share your view. Unlike you, I will not defend a racist slant as being just a little humor. But hey, everyone has their own moral code.

Snowflake. Little needle made a boo boo. Puleeze. They probably took too much blood and your pressure dropped.
