I have a new Formula 350 CBR with trip outboards. I ordered it without a cover and had an automatic Sunstream Swiftshied mooring cover installed. I cant imagine how hard it would be to fully cover the boat manually. Anyhow, it works great. Literally I can cover or uncover the boat in 30 seconds. The cover held up great to 50 mile an hour winds with no chafing.

This looks FANTASTIC! We just got a lift, and were thinking about a canopy, but this looks like an even better option. I don't mean to pry into personal stuff, but if you were shopping, what did you find as price ranges? If it costs less or similar to a canopy cost, I'd definitely be interested.

That's pretty cool! But I want to see your 350 with trips!

Very cool convenience that is probably well worth the cost.

I had a 350CBR; the tonneau cover connection at the windshield would ALWAYS leak water, so this solves that problem, too.

Enjoy the Formula; I miss mine from time to time.

The cover was $16k. Took a lot of convincing to get that one past the admiral but it will really help preserve the boat. Florida sun is brutal. I will video it next time I am down there. It is driven by a marine battery with a solar recharging panel. The pics below are from the factory. The boat is a bowrider with a small cabin which is ideal for us since we are mostly dayboaters and often have 6 or more people and 2-3 dogs on board.

Beautiful boat. This may be a good time to change the info. in your signature and under your avatar.
Best of luck with her.

Having dealt with the canvas puzzle on that boat, a good "coachable moment" would be to install and remove it together. That $16k will feel like $2.00 real quick. :)

Nice color choice.

$16k is a lot less than the next most convenient thing, a full-time dock boy covering it for you.

Is the canvas that goes over a custom piece made for this mechanism? Can I ask what replacement canvas alone costs? I'd guess it's cheaper than a full size canopy for a completely enclosed slip, but probably more expensive than the standard travel or snap cover.

How adaptable is the frame, could it be resized if you got a different size boat, at least within reason?

If it was somewhat adjustable for other boat sizes and replacement canvas isn't any worse than canvas generally, the $16k is probably worth even more than just the simple convenience.

Even with a covered slip/canopy, I'd still want to put up the actual canvas to keep out rain, debris, etc.

This kills two birds with one stone; also significantly lengthens the life of the boat's canvas.

The boat is laser scanned and the canvas is highly custom for the boat. I'm not sure the cost of the replacement canvas. The mechanism can easily be altered to accommodate a different boat with different canvas. The canvas is very hardy with reinforcements in areas that get more stress or potential rub e.g. the anchor and radio antenna hardware. My boat with engines is pushing 40 ft which is the max for this system I believe.

Very impressive. When we got our 21 foot jetboat in 2008 the manufacture sold it with a shrink cover. We asked it not be shrink activated and have used it as cover. Boat is on trailer. Cover extends to within 1 foot of the ground. Cover has no tares or leaks. Cost was $250. A cover has kept our boat in excellent condition. Your cover is probably a wise investment on a 100K boat.

The shipping cover Yamaha supplies with their jet boats I think is sort of meant to be discarded, but it's actually quite sturdy and reusable. I kept mine, which turned out to be quite handy when it sat on a trailer for a month while I sold the boat.

Since his is a 2021 and this one is a 2019 I'll bet his is worth a little bit more than 100K.
