Republican Voters Against Trump is a coalition of Republicans, former Republicans, conservatives, and former Trump voters who can’t support Trump for president this fall.

The RVAT project is aimed at amplifying the voices of this critical voting block in the 2020 election. Despite the president’s claims that he has the total support of the party, there are millions of voters who used to be reliable Republicans but are disgusted by the Trump administration.

I assume most of those are Bush and Paul Ryan type Republicans. You know, the ones that always fund raised off of the issues that were important to me always encouraging me to get out and vote for them for the issues that were important to me while they never did a damn thing about the issues that were important to me. Good riddance, I hope they enjoy the other party...

I do not believe I missed anything.

There are two main groups that make up most of the people that are defecting from the republican party.


The Bill Kristol wing are neocons, they support endless war, and of course the industrial military complex that rolls on the dough. They use the US military as a world policeman for security (at our expense) so US business can be conducted using cheap foreign labor. (So that cheap widget is actually subsidized by your tax dollars.).

Trump wants trade good for the people not a few corporations. He does not want to participate in wars.

The Koch brothers, those evil conservative financial supporters, remember that? They were open borders guys, wanted cheap labor to run their businesses and likely special tax breaks. Paul Ryan was their stooge. He retired as speaker because of the Republican Party change on border enforcement.

Trump wants a secure border, immigrants that can pass health screenings, immigrants that have something (skills) to offer the country, immigrants that want to be an Americans.
 
In fact if one looks at the history of past presidents you can see how big of a departure from his predecessors President Trump has been. You can also see how that departure would upset a lot of people.

Iprof....it's obvious you don't like Trump and that's fine. I think he's an arrogant dick too. But tell me ONE thing that the other side is offering that could possibly make you consider voting for Biden - OTHER THAN HE'S NOT TRUMP!

For starters a national plan for Covid-19, a renewable energy plan and work with the G7 and not fight and punish them. Remove the punishing taxes on us that Trump said are tariffs paid by other countries which is a total lie. Fix the Affordable Care Act.

Laughable.
National plan for Covid-19: wear a mask and shut down. Biden had no plan for the next step which is distribution of the vaccine.
Renewable Energy: eliminate fossil fuels thinking wind and solar are even close to being enough. Anyone who is serious about getting rid of fossil fuels has to accept nuclear.
G7: nobody is fighting them, but it's long past time for them to carry more weight. WW2 ended 60 some years ago.
Tariffs: When China reduces it's price to absorb the tariff and remain competitive and the consumer pays the same amount, it's a loss for China.
ACA: neither affordable or fixable. You don't fix something by subsidizing premiums and hiding the costs in deductibles.

Biden is an empty suit.
