Hello All,
In 2019 it was decided by the Admiral & I, that we would pump the breaks on boating and switch over to camping.
'About Time' was sold last October to a great couple who fell in love with her at first sight. Sea-trial went perfect and we struck a deal the following weekend. With cash in hand we purchased a new 2019 Ram Classic and a 2018 30ft Travel Trailer. We love camping and it's been a blast seeing more of Florida.
The new owner took her home and enjoyed her for nearly a year. Unfortunately, they lived in Pensacola and were directly in the eye of the storm. About Time took 100mph winds for nearly 24 hours before she was taken by the storm.
No life was lost, she sank at her slip, and she was insured. Unfortunately, not with a Yacht Policy.....ooops. Recovery and salvage costs will be taken off the top of the agreed value. They're working on a deal with the salvage company to do the whole marina. ALWAYS BUY A YACHT POLICY!
They're sad, and already miss her dearly, but there was nothing that could have been done. I'm sure they'll find another boat soon.
Anyway, it was fun boating for 30 years and spending time on CSR. Now I hope to get at least 30 more aboard the land yacht.
Good Luck All
