Official 330/350 (2008 and newer) Thread

If I understand you correctly, you shouldn’t need to run a wire from your bilge to the helm for the ACC1 switch to control your wash down pump. Assuming your pump is in the bilge, the aft EIM is also in the bilge and the ACC1 wire will be right there based on the schematic. The helm switch panels connect directly to the EIM (aft or forward) with a couple wires already. However, if you do need to run a wire from the helm to the bilge, I’ve done it by removing the plastic panel with the built in cup holder. This panel is on the starboard side at the helm, down by your right knee. Once you remove about 6 screws around the edge, that panel comes out and you can reach forward to get wires under the helm. You can also reach aft to an opening which allows you to fish wires down to the bilge above the batteries.
Hope this helps. If not, just let me know.
Tom
Hi Tom, Thanks for the info. The pump is located in the bilge and I located the pathway behind cup holder. I have found the Acc1 pigtail on my 4 previous s/r but cant find this one. My wiring diagram shows the Acc1 on the forward EIM and Acc2 on bilge EIM & operates the under platform lights. I cant find the actual wire pigtail or the wire color & number on the schematic. Is it possible s/r did not provide that wire? Can I open the EIM and connect the wire to the Acc1 breaker??
Thank you again, Pat

When I got my boat I didn't have the carafe for the microwave / coffee maker. After a bunch of research I realized I was never going to find one. Then I try to use the microwave and it was just shutting down. Finally got around to replacing it, I like the way it turned out.

2020 summer projects completed (Covid 19 edition)

1)Extended swim platform (swim platform.com) with black gel sides & SeaDek
2)Didn’t like the narrow aisle, moved captain seats 3” to starboard & moved port Chair back 4” and 1” to port, lost part the turn motion back but great to have some leg room. Best move ever!
3)Added wash down pump (lake fed) using on/off and water connect in aft port side locker.
4)replaced the not working NorthStar VHF with a storage locker -Boat Outfitters
5)replaced the 26” cabin flat LCD TV with a 32” and sound bar (more work than expected)
6)Teak steps
7)200 feet of anchor chain
8)Endless water spot removal and wax.
9)Replaced Ramarine with 9” Garmin chartplotter

And a lot of beer....

So sad to see summer coming to an end - Never feels like Pandemic, Election, Floyd +++when your on the boat.

Have a great weekend

where did you get the teak steps? boat looks really nice. also you happy with the seadek?

Global Shipwrights (CSR Sponsor) great to work with too. This is the 3rd boat I have made templates and custom SeaDek for, We like the product and has worn well great for our yellow lab. I have heard SeaDek can get really hot in southern climates.

5)replaced the 26” cabin flat LCD TV with a 32” and sound bar (more work than expected)

TV and sound bar look great, started to change out mine but gave up. Did you use a scissor mount for the tv? Mine was hard mounted and I could not figure out how to upsize the tv and fit behind the mount. Like the mount in front and am motivated for a late fall project. Thanks.

Tried about 4 different mounts before I found this one, Flat mount with locking screws on bottom. 32” tv must have all plugs on sides to fit properly (Visio 32”, had to return the Samsung) connect tv top first to flat mount then reach up with a long screw driver to lock tv to mount, then install the sound bar. Made sound bar mounts with aluminum wrapped with Velcro.

Really like the set up and the sound is awesome. Connected to Netflix through my phone to TV and was amazed by the picture quality. No wi-fi at marina yet, that would be best.

Bought the mount at Menards (like Home Depot) for $9.99, returned all the $50+ mounts

Three Seasons, does the swim platform drag in water under acceleration? Does it get swamped when comming off plane? I would love the extra space back there. When I was looking to buy my boat I looked at a 310 that had a factory extended platform but ended up with my 330. Also really like the black sides

Hi Rob,
The platform is so awesome if you use the back of your boat a lot like we do. It does not drag on acceleration but if you come off plane really fast it will take on water but not enough to be concerned. When I slow down I always look back to check because our 290SD platform was lower and would suck up a lot of water coming of plane. The Black gel coat sides was a $330.00 option & well worth it.

Take care,
Pat

I am trying to replace the original tv in main cabin of a 2008 searay 330 Sundancer, but can not figure out if you have to remove the Upholstered "bracket" from around the tv, or if there is another way - has anyone done this and can give me some specific directions - also, what tv (size, brand, etc.) did you replace it with - was it difficult ?

Thanks

ToddL

Got the swim platform installed last year. It’s awesome!

Hi All,

Hope the season is in full swing for everyone... was a slow start in MI!

I'm the new owner of "Three Seasons" 2008 330 DA... and love it! He did a fabulous job with the Mods!

I'm having an issue with getting my V-birth hatch to stay open and haven't had any luck finding a posting with the same issue. The latches to hold it open don't seem to have enough friction. I'm assuming it's not operator error, so thought I would ask if anyone has had to address this?

Thanks in advance for any help... Enjoy the water!

Brian

Thanks for your quick reply Brewster. It looks like I have the Ultra III arms, so I'll go ahead and get them on order. I wasn't sure if there was something I was missing on putting them up, but I'm thinking it's normal wear and tear...

Hello all,

Took ownership of an 08 330 with V-drive configuration last summer, I have noticed that when I manually turn on my bilge pump from the helm, I only get my most aft pump turning on. The bilge has two pumps, one at the transom under the genset, and one most forward at the bilge bulkhead. They both work individually when manually
lifting the float switches however only the aft pump works with the helm switch. Is this normal behaviour for this set up?

Thanks

FWD is usually the emergency/high water pump and mounted obviously higher. What are your seeing as far mounting location of the forward pump?
