NFL Viewers Tune Out

I am tickled that the Seahawks played last weekend. My wife watched them in the living room, I went to another part of the house and binge watched Tom Clancy's "Jack Ryan" on my Kindle. It was nice to watch something intelligent.
Jack Ryan is good stuff. Maybe you should invest in a second TV Mike. There are a lot of really good shows on Prime and Netflix.

A few weeks ago I had pretty much decided not to tune in but I was kind of on the fence. I thought if the Seahawks were having a good season and things calmed down maybe I’d think about it. Then Jacob Blake was shot by the police and in protest, the Seahawks team refused to practice the next day. These over-paid entertainers took a day off to a honor a douche bag with a criminal history that was ignoring police commands and reaching for a weapon and with a father that is an admitted, highly vocal, anti-Semite. And the Seahawks front office allows this. What the the team leadership should have done is said, “You want to take the day off, fine but anyone that does is suspended without pay indefinitely until you declare you are ready to put your profession first. Only then will we consider re-instating you.” Hurt these prima donnas in the wallet and watch how fast things change.

And what makes this worse is a couple of days later, 2 LA County sheriff’s deputies were ambushed in Compton, CA in their parked patrol in car and shot point blank in their heads, one of them a mother. Where are the protests for these 2 people? Don’t their lives matter? But instead of protests, some community leaders have have come out in support of the actions stating, “The chickens have come home to roost”. And these 2 heroes, with gunshot wounds to their heads, still had the guts to pull their weapons and establish defensive positions to protect each other until help arrived. Meanwhile, our “professional athletes” Are helped off the field with an ankle sprain. Why aren’t the NFL players protesting this cowardly act. That is the kind of thing they should be supporting. Support for the men and women that are in the stadium on game day to protect their rich asses.

I’m telling you....this country is in trouble unless this tide turns soon.

Not only that but the anti-police crowd blocked the entrance to the emergency room to not let the officers into the hospital for treatment and the LA county Sheriff called out LeBron James asking for him to donate to the reward fund for the guy that shot them. No response from James. But he has been sure to respond when criminals are shot.
