Have never seen an election year where the US citizens are so afraid of Biden wining the election. There are no guns to buy in Arizona,legally that is.
SG,Midway and a host of others have no ammunition for sale in all calibers. So all the late comers wanting some form of protection are out of luck. Others have stocked up on ammo, no surprise there.
Exactly what are all the Citizens afraid of, maybe if you call 911 you get a Social Worker?
As far ae the peaceful rioters, bring in the National Guard with free fire orders on rioters and looters and let those rich priviledged kids die with the looters

A general feeling out here in Eastern WA is rioters and looters may come through the 'burbs' if they get tired of having their fun in the business districts.

I keep two firearms in the house, both loaded and easy to grab but hidden in places where nobody is going to look for a gun.

My fear about Sleepy Joe being elected is that his "Four More Years" will be four more years of rioting and looting without fear of facing any consequences.

Here's something that some of you might find usable as a way to hide a handgun but still have it easy to grab:
-get a brass drawer pull

Cut the "pad" off one end, leaving as much of the round part as possible

'Bolt it securely in a position where the tip is a bit higher than the other end. This makes the gun sit in a "barrel down" position.

Be imaginative in where you attach this. Don't put it in a place where someone (burglar, etc.) might think to look for a hidden gun. Put it in a place where it's easy to grab in a hurry for your safety and the safety of those around you.

Want to secure an AR-type rifle? Get a piece of hardware that is generally used to support a handrail on a stairway.

Hang it in a place where the AR will hang over that flat area near the end of the support and in a place where (a) it's well hidden and (b) it will be easy to grab if needed.

I used to think the US was one of the greatest countries in the world. I hope I can again some day. But this scares the shit out of me. What have you become? And don’t tell me its the democrats, or the republicans. How are you ever going to become a nation united on fundamental principles? It sounds like the US has become a war zone. I truly believe that the violent protests and anarchists must be stopped. But these armed stand-offs that your leaders are allowing to continue is causing irrational fear and this Armageddon thinking. And there are idiots and assholes on both sides, both sides.

Whatever the outcome of this election, your leaders have to lead and unify as job number one. Leaders should not be pitting half of your population against the offer half. Your democratic republic will not survive divided like you are.
 
Ammo and gun supply always tightens up during an election year. Add in the riots and the democrats openly saying they are coming for guns and supply is gone.

There are many millions of new gun owners this year who all needed ammo. What blows my mind, is even with the price increases, supply is still non existent. As soon as its available, its sold out.

And @Creekwood I'm not worried about an all out war taking place here. I firmly believe many are just ensuring they have arms in case the dems enact stricter laws.

You can't unify when a percentage of the population no longer believe in our founding principles. Back in the day we had liberals and conservatives, democrats and republicans, men and women. They could agree on the founding principles -- capitalism, basic freedoms -- speech, religion, arms, etc. They disagreed at the margins. Today the people with the publicity don't agree with any of that. Instead they are socialists, marxists, anarchists, and the like. They do not believe in the idea of the USA. In the past leaders on both sides would shut them down. Now one side lets them run wild and even bails them out of jail.

It took me a minute to make the connection to your post. Many moons ago I went through the Smith & Wesson Pistolsmithing school. After I got back to work I called a fellow I met while at the school who worked for S&W and finagled my way into getting one of their Performance Center 6906's.

It's a shooter, not a collector item that sits in a box in the safe and when I do my LEOSA qualification it's my gun of choice.

Sorry, couldn't resist. I don't believe anywhere near the majority of either party's members are nearly as extreme as the other side wants to portray them. But, the portrayals seem to be getting worse with every election cycle. I agree with Creekwood that we need to figure out how to get out of this death spiral.

The problem is our leaders are chicken to actually enforce the laws and actually keep law and order. With the body cameras and cell phones recording every step the cops make and a complicit media blowing every unfortunate outcome encounter by police into national news there will be no unity. If the cops stand down the rabel rousers will be emboldened to continue the chaos. The answer will eventually come down to federal martial law with bloodshed because the only thing that actually changes human behavior is pain. The very ideals that make the USA great are actually our greatest weakness at the same time. I truly believe that the quality of life in general in the USA has just reached such a high level that too many people don't have enough to actually worry about which gives them time to dream up new issues to feel offended by. Want to fix this? Destroy the internet and cell phone networks and go back to the basics, land line pay phones, newspapers and snail mail. Slow down the dissemination of information will be a good start. Of course we would not be able to have these discussions as easily but we would probably have more peace in our lives. Remember the days of reading discussions in magazines? took a month the see what the response would be instead of 8.5 seconds.

My company supplies cutting tools used in the manufacturing of bullets for Winchester the biggest supplier of ammunition to the US government. The US army called me directly... which is a bit scary as I am further down the supply chain.... and said I can’t close....It’s kept us open as an essential business thru this shit show in Michigan.
Buy more ammo. :)

We were a nation united around fundamental principles and about 2/3rds of us still are. But with a major political party seeing power in blowing up those principles coupled with the power of the media that has decided to pander to only part of the population and openly assist that party and social media that also has taken a side with most other global companies those principles are in jeopardy.

Most folks just simply do not understand we are in a war for our country. There are numerous entities from Chinese, Russians, even Iran want to defeat us. They are funding all manner of chaos from disruptions of markets to providing for those that hate the principles of this country.

The polarization that has built for years will not end in any presidential term...
