Hello all
i recently purchased a 1984 454 Amberjack and in the middle or restoring her to her original beauty. The speed sensor paddle wheel is missing, i believe it was a 6 blade, wondering if anyone knows where i can buy a replacement wheel, the one i have comes off separate from the sending unit with 4 screws and has a stainless cover. any help will be appreciated

I'm sure you will get an answer, but you may want to not replace it and go with your GPS instead. The paddles were not very accurate and the vanes were prone to breaking. Just something to think about.

Original is an admirable goal. That was my original plan when I started the restoration of my 1985 Cobalt CM23. But as I was in the process I began to update many items as the newer technology is just more reliable. My boat ended up being like a car "resto-mod" and when I sold it I got more for it than if it had just been restored. I kept hull colors original but updated all the upholstery, gauges, switch gear, electronics, wiring, engine, drive, etc. The boat still looked like the classic it was but it was much more usable.

Try contacting Airmar in New Hampshire. They are the primary manufacturer of trnsducers.

+1 on this - I did the same when I got my 340SDA - I made sure the dealer MM addressed the non functioning speedo and never use it - I always refer to my SOG (speed-over-ground) data on my MFD. Personally, I am considering pulling the speedo on my dash to replace it with another electronic display.
