Crossed the Strait of Georgia from Vancouver en route to Gulf Islands this past weekend and the conditions could not have been better. Shot this little video out in the middle of it. Just love it when it’s like this. Far cry from the 30kt wind and 4-6ft seas we encountered in July.

And a few photos of the weekend to boot:

Docked at Ladysmith with our friends’ Carver 56. I like the angle and lensing in this picture because our 340 almost looks bigger than the 56. :)

Thanks for sharing the video and pictures. When we went from Neah Bay to Port Angeles on the Strait of Juan de Fuca it wasn't much worst than that. My boat loves a 1'-2' chop and that's what we had the whole distance.

Gotta love those days!

Thanks guys ..another fun weekend planned coming up but the forecast doesn’t look so friendly. We’ll be heading northwest and winds will be out of the northwest at 10-20kts ..so not bad, but will be choppy for sure. We’ll be headed out to the Harmony Islands where there is a 1400 ft waterfall and swimming holes at the bottom of it. More pics to come. :)

Great pics! Thanks for sharing.

I am very envious of that Gulf crossing. When we last did it on the way to Desolation, we had 3'-4' which would not be too bad, but the period was so short! We had the 290 at the time, and just sighting a landmark was impossible because the bow would be sent so high, we could see no land.
Keep the pictures coming! The shot along the bow from the steering station is so good. The reflection of the sun in the water makes perfect framing composition.
