George Floyd

Seems like there's a lot of people with nothing to do but stay up all night and destroy property. My Ring alerts for my area are constant now, from shootings to burglary, and I thought I lived in a good neighborhood. We pay taxes like we do anyway.
Now we have violence in Kenosha WI over an officer involved shooting, and a Governor condemning the officers actions when the investigation has only just begun.
And if you have seen the video, it starts when the man is walking briskly away from the officers who already have their weapons drawn and he proceeds around his vehicle, opens the door and reaches down towards the floor. Then the shots are fired.

I also heard that the officers had attempted to taze him prior to this escalation.

I do not know all the details, but I do know that if a police officer draws his weapon on someone it is time to comply with their commands and not walk away from them.

Yup, unless your brain is muddled by all the drugs and booze you've been ingesting. Cops can't take anything for granted and can't hesitate, even for a split second, when they feel their lives or the lives of others around are in jeopardy.

Unfortunately, the have to. What they should have done -- as soon as the guy said I'm not listening to you, they should have gotten into their cars and gone to the local tavern. It's not worth it, they cannot win.

A couple dumfuggers....the guy that got himself shot and the Govner of WI.

I feel so bad for Kenosha WI. My mother's home town. I got stitches in the local hospital when I was young. After decades of decline, they where making a come back. Retooled the the old AMC location into high end condos, museums, marina, and such. Just finished big downtown road projects. New joints where actually moving in. Unfortunately, I think this is going to be a setback.

Yup. Milwaukee is becoming dangerous too.

We finally have settled in Florida 10 minutes from the beach w a view of a lake in our backyard.

Headed back boat shopping though this fall to find a great deal from a first timer. :D

Yup before the facts are in these morons are talking and stirring up trouble. They do their damage in the first 1 minute that they each speak but the Lt Governor gets on a roll after that, all the inequities, white supremacy.....

That guy is cork soaker. Complete a-hole. I am hearing the dude had a knife (you can hear "drop the knife" on the audio of the video) and told the cops he was getting a gun out of his car. Unfortunately Kenosha police don't have body cams.

Anyway, looks they are tearing up the city again tonight. Lots of reports of caravans coming from Racine and Chicago. They closed the interstate exits. It's a chit show.

Maybe the Governor needs to be put in the officers shoes. Maybe a hour in a simulator using the same situation would change his point of view.

For any member who hasn't been in a firearm simulation and you get the opportunity, by all means try it!

Agreed. I used to go through the simulator every ear for updates when I was in law enforcement and even though you know it is a simulator your heart rate still rises and palms get sweaty

Governors like Evers are 'above' that, you see. Why would they need to humble themselves?

I would like to be the one in the back of the room shouting BLM and distracting them....just before the person shoots them or they shoot a bystander after having a phone cam shoved in their eyes.

I'd also like to be the one to be sure it makes the evening news

Kenosha 'protests' have produced two more dead people early this morning.:(
Saw the video. Mob attacked a guy with an AR and he fired on them. Hit one guy in the head and just about took another guys arm off. Dont think i’d attack a guy with a rifle with a skateboard, but thats just me. Not defending his actions tho, hes toast. He kept firing long after they were retreating

The time to comply is when you are first given the command....not when you feel like it or when they draw their weapons. When given the command......

Meanwhile in St Louis

"The couple, Mark and Patricia McCloskey, were charged on Monday by the Circuit Attorney’s Office in St. Louis with unlawful use of a weapon, for exhibiting a semiautomatic rifle “in an angry or threatening manner,” according to the complaint. The charge is a Class E felony that carries a possible penalty of up to four years in prison."

This isn't an episode of the Twighlight Zone, it's a whole damn new series... Something needs to be done about these never ending unconstitutional charges by liberal Attorneys. They were well within their right to defend themselves by any means necessary. They felt their lives were in danger because they were. The Right to keep and BEAR arms SHALL not be infringed. Not "may not" be.

While I think everyone involved is an idiot for putting themselves in that powder-keg situation, it looks like the shooter fired in self-defense.

He's being chased and having shit thrown at him. He gets cornered and shoots. He calls 911 and the mob descends on him again, he runs, mob chases.

He trips in middle of street, skateboard guy brings a skateboard to a gunfight, doesn't end well.

More people descend on him while he is on the ground and he shoots them. One guy is seen charging him and stops when points the gun at him, shooter lowers gun, guy charges in, gets shot.

This is a classic case of disparity of force. The shooter is grossly outnumbered and the crowd is showing they are going to gravely injure him.

So I guess it's a 17 year old kid. What isn't clear is if he is from IL or WI. They picked him up in IL.

I agree about not inserting yourself in these situations.....just dumb.
