cost of canvas (picture in post)

Those front and back tops are super tight and 3D. I have done many. Good luck on that if you have never sewed before or do not know at least the basics of canvas fabrication.

Love the boat! Those 370s are cool.

I had the back slant back and valance done on mine(no window) and they charged 2,700 bucks.:(

I got quoted $2500 to replace the entire back the slant curtain, two side curtains and the thing in the track with the zippers..... another place ....that is cheap quoted me $1500 for the same thing.... I went with the cheap guy.... I wish I didn’t

I think a fair price for just the center section should be $1,200

That's what I had done for the 2,700 bucks, without a window. We rarely run with the rear canvas up so we're handling that canvas often. I got tire of babying that center piece window and eliminated it.

My 1200 guy put a cover over it on the outside.....zips at the top and buttons at the bottom....with directional snaps :(.... every time I mess with that cover I curse that canvas guy..... but it’s nice to keep the sun out when you want and bring in light on a rainy day

Are you sure?....I think these stitchers call it something else ...because that doesn’t ring a bell

The part that slides into the track is kederwelt. There will be canvas or zipper is attached to that. Combined they are referred to as a valance. There may or may not be a zipper as it may possibly be just velcro.

I’m in the middle of a canvas job now myself and it’s coming along nicely, but some details went opposite of my preferences.

On the flip side there have been subtle improvements that I appreciate.

Give and take I guess.

I stopped doing windows on aft curtains when I noticed the windows leak when it rains. Water builds up in the seams and drips through the stitches. Since we used the curtain when it rained is was a regular occurrence. No window was much better.

Ya. I agree light is good. That is more of an issue with dark blue or black canvas. With white canvas you get plenty of light, and in the morning you can sit in back in your PJs in complete privacy and no sunlight pouring in to heat things up. I'm not sure my A/C could keep up with a plastic window. Thanks for the tip on the stop leak product.
