I couldn't get into the article. Each google listing led to a place where you have to pay.

No big deal, I figured the work output would go down after awhile.

Time will tell, I saw a news piece last night about the Lake Tahoe real estate market being on fire with transplants from Silicon Valley moving to the Lake because they can work remotely now. It will be interesting to watch and see what happens when the novelty of working from home wears thin and people long for the office environment. Probably be like the boating bubble, when reality sets in and there will be a glut of boats for sale, cheap!

The norm was the norm because of the collective reasoning of society. This pandemic situation does not change that. There will be a settling out closer back to the old norms.

BTW, I am still trying to figure out how to get my newest business off the ground where I start with a huge advantage over my competition in labor costs by hiring women at 77 cents on the dollar over hiring men.

i've noticed folks do a lot of yard work and home projects during normal business hours.

My twin brother is in the sailplane business and runs a very well known gliderport in Nor-Cal. He says he hasn’t been this busy in 20 + years in his current location.
His main business now is flight training in the Sailplanes and he keeps two full time flight instructors busy 6 days a week. He says a lot of his business is professionals ‘working’ remotely with no particular oversight. People have way more flexibility in their schedules these days which is a boom for him. He is 60 miles from the closest population base.

I have been working from home for almost 5 years and never want to go back into the office. But we have had trouble with a few team members and discipline. One owned a little business and would post Facebook live stuff from there while he was supposed to be working. We have another that feels when her work is done she can go to the mall or paint her house or whatever.

I notice everyone frickn driving around....where the hell is everyone going ?

Same ..back in March it was like Christmas when everyone leaves town and traffic is light to non-existent. Now it seems every time I leave the house is the exact time everyone else decides to do the same. Oh, and I'm just picking up sushi. Since you asked.

Sushi?....well get out of the fast lane if you’re going to get fish :)

I’ve worked from home for the last 30 years. My main path was from home to airport. Now not so much. Just using WebEx a lot more.
