LOL... He was so excited to be there he wouldn't stop talking... Now I need to teach him some pirate lines. This weekend I will take the back canvas off to get him used to the dock traffic.
I have barn sparrows on my bow rail and I am losing my mind..... I couldn’t imagine a bird in the cockpit on purpose
He will fly away for sure.... don’t do it.... especially if your wife is attached to it

He doesn't fly, he knows the had that feeds him... We cruise on the dingy all the time on my shoulder. He is the most popular guy in Home Depot... Everyone there knows Rico and comes to see him.
We have this restaurant Crews Inn on the Clinton river off of Lake St Clair.... this guy would always be there With a parrot on his shoulder off a boat..... Hawaii shirt long hair....just the kind of guy who would have a parrot on his shoulder.
I am there with a buddy watching this one day at the bar....everyone coming up to him to see the bird.... the bird couldn’t fly either.... but no one told the bird.... the bird takes off and drops like a stone in the water....the hippy loses his Mind and jumps in after the bird.... it’s like you have to be kidding me..... it was full of weeds and crap.... he can’t swim the bird can’t swim....it was a shitshow. Phil and I run up and try to grab the guy but he was so wound up about saving this parrot.... we let him grab it then pulled him out..... moral is parrots can kill you
