1st trip to Leland was a success. I think they put me in as small a slip as possible. I didn't even touch the forward pylon. (Nor did I rip off my dinghy motor). The lake was just as flat as it could be. Michigan is full on masks.

I have gotten fuel there several times and they have let me use a slip for a couple hours while we explore and get some smoked fish but have never stayed overnight.
Glad you had a good time!

Looks awesome! We stayed there for 3 nights last August. Love it, will return...

I was just there Saturday and Sunday night. Beautiful marina and harbor town. Dropped the new dinghy and wandered down past the southern point. We also dropped her in the water at Sleeping Bear

Made the run from Leland all the way to Grand Haven on Monday. Those 150+ mile boat days get tough after 60

That is a haul!! Lake must have been good though. On a side note, Leland Harbor is now closed due to 2 dockhands testing positive. If I get it, it will be from the docklines. I had no interaction with them.

Well that's not good! Was planning a trip there in a couple of weeks. Thoughts and prayers for those who contracted the virus, and hoping they open back up soon.

Cripe that is all I need. Not sure you can get it from dock lines or credit cards. They were all wearing masks. Probably ok but good to know. I have no underlying health issues so even if I got it, chances are I would be ok. I hate to think others would get sick because of the dock hands. Thanks for the heads up

Leland is on of our favorite ports.

We ran out to South Manitou Sunday afternoon. I didn’t see where the dock was tore up as they are reporting. The water is certainly Very high So who knows what is damaged

I just spoke to a friend that is in Leland now. He confirms that the harbor is closed. There has not been a positive test of the dock hands but 2 people have been sent home and all transient slip reservations canceled. The irony is the gas docks remain open...

further info: The 2 dock hands sent home had gone to a party where one person at the party later had tested positive. They were sent home in abundance of caution. Nobody at the marina currently has tested positive

Leland Lodge is closed as people got sick and stayed there over the week end. Wait staff in their dinning facility tested positive.
The gas gas dock is always open during normal business hours as Leland is a port of refuge. In an emergency they will always let you stay.

Sure beats the same old Potomac River boating. Looks very nice up there.

Phasma the dock is not tore up, it is just under water it was fine 6/23 and the 24 when we where there, some boats tied up to it for a few min. when we where there.
