Spent the day on my mothers pontoon. It was nice

Spacious yes but nice?

They’re immensely popular around here. I recently saw one with twin OB that was nearly $200,000.

The seating was much more comfortable than either our SR or our Crownline. Plenty of room to move around too. But nearly impossible to tie off to someone. Theirs is a 21' with a 50HP engine. Not that fast but nice for cruising. Much more airflow in that than ours too. Likely due to the lower sidewalls. We aren't quite ready to sell ours to go pontoon shopping but it was a nice day. Never felt overheated even though it was about 93* out without much wind

I love to be a guest on one for a day. There’s no comparison when it comes to space and airiness but ownership isn’t for me... yet.

Sold our 240 sundeck and bought a 24' avalon tritoon with a 150 merc. So far does everything the old boat did plus. Only knock I have is, its easy to punch the bow into on coming boat wake at slow speeds.

A friend has a Harris pontoon, with an arch and a 300hp Merc Verado. It's very nice, comfortable, and pretty good looking as pontoon boats go - I like spending time out on it. Last summer on July 4th, he punched it into a wave and damaged all the front railing! I think if you have a house a pontoon is a must have as a second boat, but I just can't get my head around that being my only boat. Also have been shocked at the prices, I think my friends was approaching $80k. I will say I bet 50% of the boats I see on LKN on a typical weekend are pontoon boats.

A ton of them on Lanier as well. We saw a "Bentley" brand at the Atl Boat Show last year that retailed for $249,999. No kidding....Twin big Mercs and lavish as all get out.

My son just bought a Veranda luxury model with a 300hp Yamaha. It is very nice with a ton of space. I don’t want to know what it cost. He said it was a demo model. Purchased it in PA, we are in KY.

I like that Yamaha, used to run one on a bass boat.

Growing up on the Allegheny River the parents had a pontoon for years. We made carpeted boards and attached them to the boat from top of rail to almost in the water but far enough past the floor to allow other boats to raft up and not get under the floor when a wave came around. The indoor outdoor looped carpet really gave a good fight and allowed other boats to slide up and down.

I like the nice selection of shower curtain options for hiding the head. You just need to be aware of the wind direction when taking care of business.
