Hey there,
I am a new owner to a 04 searay 340. So far we love the boat and it’s a good fit. I’m trying to find out some more info. I was told by someone to run at 3700-3800rpm. But it doesn’t seem to be right. If I hit 4000-4100 it drives amazing. Temps and everything all stay good. Any new good information would be great!
 
Are you using full trim tabs?
My 310 is really happy at 3800 with 350's and full tabs
I would say the 340 with the 6.2's probably the same or a little more like you said 4000.
You don't get the good low end torque that Big Blocks give you at a lower rpm.
 
Yes I have tabs all the way down. 4000 is really good ride. But wasn’t sure if that’s to much on the engines going on 3hr runs or more. thanks for the response
 
Ask in the 320 section cause a lot of those boats had that setup. I have the 8.1 and never go over 3400 rpm. Usually sitting at 3350 on the smart craft digitals
 
320’s with 5.7 VDrive like 3800, I can still run ass heavy at 3500 but you are standing to look where you are going...
