Trailer Ball question...

I have a 2" trailer ball on my truck that wiggles so slightly... it's all secure, but the wiggle bugs me.... anything i can do to stop the wiggle? maybe insert something into the sleeve ot make it a tight fit?
 
Does the drawbar wiggle in the receiver? That’s normal. Does the ball wiggle on the drawbar? That’s a breakaway waiting to happen. And make sure safety chains are crossed so when the ball falls out the tongue doesn’t dig into the road then pitch pole on top of the tow vehicle.

Of course, make sure you aren’t putting a 2” drawbar in a 2.5” receiver. That won’t end well either.
 
Drawbar wiggles not the ball... safety chains are crossed... everything is 2"... so... anything i can do to make the drawbar tighter in the receiver?
 
You don’t want it too tight or too loose. Sounds to me you are in the Goldilocks zone.
 
Drawbar wiggle is normal. If it was snug, the least bit of rust or dirt would seize it in to the receiver. I've had that happen, not fun at all.
 
You could have a ball that has a 3/4 inch shaft instead of a 1 inch shaft. They both have different load limits. the ball should not wiggle at all there is no goldilocks zone when comes to your towing connections. I say get a new trailer ball thats the correct size. The stinger that has the ball on it will move a tiny bit if too much then the pin is worn and needs replacing.

Even though the OP said ball he meant the drawbar. I myself have never had a hitch without some play in the parts where play is acceptable.

3/4” stud in a 1” hole. I think we learned that doesn’t work in kindergarten.
