What the hell is wrong with our country these days?

Many countries have had several revolutions.

I really think using George Soros is a blank and just a purely anti-semitic response. He has done nothing wrong, doesnt give money to all these people.
You can’t be serious.... he has given $33M to BLM corporation... which has ties to ANTIFA.... BLM is the Black Panthers....Soros is Funding the poison

You're kidding, right?

That's the $64,000 question today. I lived in California in the 70's (San Diego) and loved it. I was in the Navy and didn't pay California taxes. Now, I'm not sure now I will ever visit California again with the state politics. Sort of voting with my feet.

We are sort of in your "where to" problem. We have a home in Georgia and one on the SW coast of FL. We love our FL home 8 months a year and the boating is great. Our question is where do we go the the remaining 4 months when its hot/humid and hurricane threats. That's a lot simpler question than yours, but I can't imagine living in the people's republic of California now. We keep Reward in TN for the summers and the boating is pretty good there too. Both states have no state tax - that's a consideration for you to look at as you choose.

So what do you look for?:
- Taxes
- Climate
- Political stability
- Civilization - rural or urban setting
- LOL - always have to have a nearby Hospital, Costco and HD

If I could get my mind around 4 months each year, SW FL would be my permanent answer.

I probably need to pick COD's/nealtromblely's brain a little more as I they are there year round as to how to best handle the hurricane/heat/humidity issues in the summer.
I'm thinking of immigrating permanently to Alaska and having the boat documented there but then plying the west coast and just enjoying the port cities from the harbors, eating the wonderful food and drinking the amazing wines, enjoying the great weather and majestic sunsets with out participating in the politics of it all. I think we have enough dough in the war chest to last us awhile and I already polished up the two last 45 rounds we will need when we run out of money, Just need to find the perfect boat and take the plunge. Problem is that I really love my job and I think I will go nuts just sitting around on the deck of the boat for days on end. I know with a 60 foot, twenty plus year old pilot house there will always be something to do so perhaps Ill just learn to love that as my new job!
Carpe Diem

There is nothing to show Soros did what you and others are saying.
He has said over and over he opposes violence, etc.
He is Jewish therfore it is realyl a n old anti Semitic type of accusation.
Nothing else. If not him how about the Rothschild's. Hey lets look at the Rockefellers etc.

Dont blame if the only facts are from weird outlier websites.

“Hi Candace, Mr. Soros and the Open Society Foundations oppose all violence and do not pay people to protest,” OFS said. “We lament the effort, through baseless allegations, to distract from the crisis of police brutality in Minneapolis and in too many other parts of the country.”

According to PolitiFact, a fact-checking news website that is “focused on looking at specific statements made by politicians and rating them for accuracy,” the allegations about Soros have not been proven to be true. Politifact claimed that they couldn’t find any evidence regarding George Soros or OSF contributing money to the protests in Minneapolis.

OSF told Politifact that the foundation “supports the First Amendment right of all Americans to make their voices heard and petition their government for redress of grievances.” When it comes to rioting, “George Soros and the foundations oppose violence in any and all forms,” OFS said.

Soros has given out $33 million to organizations working with BLM back in 2015 when the Ferguson protests were happening. Though OSF has donated to raise awareness and aid, giving out money for the sole purpose of orchestrating protests or riots is shown not to be true.

Upon the thorough research, there has been nothing to directly link the allegation that George Soros is behind the violent riots transpiring from protests established by Black Lives Matters.

TROLL

I am not a Troll just because you do not like what I say.
I do not like George Soros in particular however I clearly see attacks on him as being because he is Jewish.
He is a liberal and I am more conservative but anti Semitic attacks are loathsome.

I literally have nothing against jewish people, zero. I have a lot of jewish friends and that's the last thing that I think of when I comment about him. So you're completely wrong!

I get it.

When someone is put into a ethnic group/religion and is assigned victim status, by their own organizations, and cohorts, you loose your privilege.

The humidity in Florida is pretty tough right now but the State still has a nice feel to it. When I see what is going on elsewhere it feels much safer here.

I had no idea Soros was Jewish. This sounds like another example of creating anti-semetic issues where there are none. Much like the race issues going on now. There are none so they have to make them up to support their narrative.

There was never a mention of religion/race/ethnic, etc background here until you brought it up.

You saying the black folks have no legitimate grievances?

I thought Soros was Greek :(

in the majority of cases no they don't. Fight with the police and it won't end well. Does that mean they can go riot and loot because their friend/family member disobeyed law enforcement?

My step-son is a detective. White kid shot and killed a black kid a few weeks ago and dumped the body. Step-son knew almost immediately who did it but they didn't have enough evidence. Facebook detectives were crying that they weren't doing anything about it because the victim was black and suspect was white. My step-son put in 84 hours that week investigating that case. There were protestors outside the suspects house. Suspect fled to Ocean City so step-son had to drive down there to get him once they had the warrant. He was frustrated by all the comments but they could not leak out evidence. I suspect it is like this in many cases so the only side you hear is from the protestors

Lots of situations that hit the news are the real bad outcomes, but there is plenty we don't hear about.

What if you're a young fella and you've been followed dozens of times as you drive from here to there? What if you're stopped many of those times, slammed against the car, frisked, given the shit, asked if your mother still gives BJ's over by park, and stuff like that. What if this happens over and over, never get a ticket for anything even though they claimed they saw you roll through a light, or swerving, or had a tail light out. Funny how those tail lights start working after the cops leave.

What if you're a woman who had to work out of town and driving home late at night and you got stopped because of a tail light that wasn't working, and then got stopped again by the same cop because he wanted to know what you were doing/where you were going, and then stopped again by the same cop because he wanted to know how you got such a nice car....this all on the same night. We don't hear about this kind of stuff.

Dang, I just happen to know someone who has a boat that is for sale that is on the West coast and meets your needs.

What say you?

quoting international media you could say america is simply facing the most unable leader in its history . it has nothing to do with republicans vs democrats - whichever party sits in the white house you need a great and strong leader , especially here and now fighting the virus , fighting economy and fighting to unite its own population .

fingers crossed and hoping for the best !

Those are just bad apples. You are going to have that anywhere in life. Need to find a better way of vetting them out. I do know in some cases the officer is familiar with an individual and 'looks' for a reason to stop them. If there is a known drug dealer that the local police are familiar with then I would expect them to try to find a reason for a traffic stop. As far as the unwarranted comments, well that goes back to the vetting I mentioned.

I heard years ago that Vegas had the most stringent requirements for their police. 4 year degree was required and a stringent background probe. My step-son had a bad apple in their dept and it finally caught up to the guy. He was terminated and is no longer a cop after bashing a bad guys face into a hardwood floor repeatedly.

You lost me at "quoting international media." Part of the problem IS the media.

I believe the problem is the number of bad apples is far larger than people realize, tip of the iceberg so to speak. The 20 is making the 80 look bad. The bad apples can make a lot of contacts in a week, a month, a year and you got bad apples spread all over this country doing it...just fckin' with people.
