The speakers must be very shallow because they mount on the radar arch. a 2.5" speaker depth is the max, which eliminates all the speakers I have looked up.
These are standard 5" cutouts.
I would prefer to not get Clarions, as they did not hold up to the weather well at all.
Any suggestions?

I just put some Alpines that I got off of Amazon for about $100 a pair and they sound great. They fit in the Radar Arch little tight but they still fit in the old Clarion speaker holes.

JL Audio has awesome marine speakers....They are 2.74" deep. I have those in my Radar Arch..
It's a 340 so it might be deeper. You could make a spacer ring to put behind the speaker to push it out just enough.
JBL Stadium Marine M6520 is 2 9/16" deep.

I wouldn't condemn the Clarions - they're nearly 25 years old and who knows what they've been subjected to over the years. Regardless, though, 25 years outside in the elements... can't really blame the speakers for that, you know?

If you can't find anything to fit, then buy/make a spacer ring as was suggested above. Easy solution.

I got these for my 98 290. They are shallow and fit in arch withput any problem. Also sound great

Fantastic! Thank you everyone for your help - These replies solve my speaker issue!

Have you looked at Infinity 612M? Awesome sound. Not sure if they are shallow enough. I’ve got some listed for sale. PM if interested.

What I did was buy (2) 1" spacers and now most speakers fit. I picked up some JBL's already. Thank you for your reply Mike!

That’s a good solution.
