I have a camper top that was never used. I would like to reposition the bimini top support bars to so the camper top could be connected to the windshield. Right now it is 2 inches away from the windshield. Is there a trick or a tool I need to release these bars to move them around?

I am attaching an image to show you connectors used to attache bars to each other, they appear to be riveted. I hope I am wrong.

If the existing bimini is setup for a camper top... typically the rear legs have an adjustment pin. Extend the rear leg, attach the front clear vinyl, compress the rear leg to tighten things up. If you want to, search around on this site for posts related to camper tops - there are PLENTY of them - and the idea is pretty much the same from boat to boat to boat so don't get focused on the threads only being about your boat model.

Edit... Oh, there should be information in your owner's manual about this, too. If you don't have it, you can download it on SR's site.

Yes SS rivets for safety. Take the stanchions out of the ball socket and snap the top. Then put the stanchions back in the sockets. It will take some force. Do this when warm outside (with a helper if possible).

Thanks to all, rear legs do have an adjustment. I did not notice that until reading the above post. I may need to add a couple of DIY extender fastener snap straps, recommended on this forum too.

Extenders should not be needed. Trick for extra "power" to collapse the rear legs back down to their original position...

-- Lay the pieces out in the sun for a couple hours.
-- At the aft end of the bimini frame is, basically, a vertical pole (rear leg) and a horizontal pole that extends to the other side of the boat. Don't try to collapse the rear legs by pushing down on them. Instead, pull down on the corner/horizontal part - you'll have much more leverage there.
-- Follow the instructions in the manual about only zippering each window piece a few inches, then collapse, then finish zippering.
