Official 320 Dancer Thread

Hi Guys, I’m looking into a new to me 2005 320, owner has ran into an issue where he can’t figure out why the right side controls will not work.

The EIM and the starboard side pad were both tested on another 320 boat by his mechanic and both worked on the other boat.

Also when using the plug from behind the port pad and plugged it into the starboard pad it also works fine.

Any info/lead on what could be the issue or where/what to look for?

& yes a survey will be done as well

Thanks

Those pads are known to go bad, and I believe they really cannot be fixed. You either buy a really expensive replacement from sea ray, if available, or you buy a replacement that swaps out the pad for a traditional set of switches, I believe flounder pounder, searay-parts.com, has them. Still 3700$

Try unplugging the port side touchpad and see if the starboard side starts working. I got water in one and it shorted and neither would work. Ended up replacing both, around $425 each

The following flooring for a 320 is for sale, it’s brand new never used. I had it in my
Boat for 5 min and decide I want a diff colors

If you look up the manual at sea ray.com, owners section, they will have the stock props listed for all variants, I/O, v-drive, sometimes even Diesel engines.

Thank you! Very helpful!

Dinghy question.
Has anybody successfully mounted a small dinghy to the swimstep of a 320?
My swimstep seems large enough, but the sun cushion extends over it; enough that it might make it tough to fit even the smallest dinghy.
was hoping somebody has already learned what davit I should be getting, if I should be at all.
Thanks
Eric

Nice boat, you have the newest 320, and that platform is completely different than my 07, I can see the underside of mine, I have access to all of the bolts where the ladder is attached. I think yours is more of an integrated platform?

Ok, question here, If I was going to add a depth sounder to my 320, where would the best place be to mount the transducer. Since boat is in slip, Im thinking inboard mounting situation. Whats the pro/con of in hull vs thru hull?
I just would like another reading, I only have the smartcraft which has a tendancy to lose bottom too often.
Also, where on the dash would be optimal, and if you have a model in mind please let know as well

I added a p79 on the starboard side right in front of the tranny close to the bulkhead.
I connected it to my c80 and a dcm300 works wonder!

I installed P79 inside the cabin in the rear most compartment, next to the shower sump on the angled portion of the boat, the flat portion is full of wood and the signal does not go through. Cabling was awful, but it worked great on my latest trip to Don Pedro and back, ran the boat for 9-10 hours that trip.
