I am looking at a L650 Express (not Fly). Does anyone know how many were built from 2015-2018? Were there any significant changes made in the later model boats versus the boats built in 2015? Any other info you have on would be greatly appreciated.

No it does not. It is twin engine.

L590 has the triple zeus. A lot of machinery..... I was lucky enough to run one with Capt. Rusty from Merritt Island to Palm Coast some six or seven years ago.

I recall seeing one and the engine access was a nightmare as well as maintaining 3 Zeus! Some were made with 2 MAN's as I remember...

You’re correct, Carter. I was on a plant tour with Sea Ray’s then number one ambassador and he and I peered into the first L590 with 2 beautiful MAN’s in her engine bay. The deck wasn’t installed yet so you could get a sense for how much easier it was going to be for future maintenance. By comparison, the deck wasn’t on the one ahead of it yet either with the triple Cummins in it. What a mess that would be to work on, around, or in between!

I don't know Carter, I crawled around the engines and was surprised how much room there really was with the 3 engine setup and with the Seakeeper just forward. Keep in mind that access behind the engines was a separate hatch in the aft deck; with that center engine there was no other way to get behind. The big issue I took away was the low head room in the engine area; I think that boats in this category should be almost standup height in the engine room.

I am amazed they sold any of those with 3 engines... I would think it would be a huge loss/nightmare for the first owner to sell now.

Its like the old 50 Cary with 4 454's and TRS drives.....it was a miracle for everything to be working right at once......many were repowered with twin diesels and arneson's

Yes 3! Wow!
The boat hauled the bacon and fast and stable and comfortable. It was a blast to pilot; I liked it.
Zeus problems aside, it was in an economic strata where cost to own was incidental for most that purchased - comfort and performance was the mantra.

The boat I am looking it has the twin Cat 18's. i am trying to understand how many of the express versions are out there. There are a couple of 2015's for sale and one 2018 but nothing from 2016 or 2017. Is there a database out there that lists how many of each model were built?
