2020 Splash/Maiden Voyage Pics

Not a boating day here.
Was 34 degrees when I went out for coffee this morning. It’s up to 40 now.

Why can’t we be breaking high temp records... not low ones...ridiculous

My son lives in Seattle. He texted complaining about the heat (no air conditioning in his apartment). Temperatures in the Yukon (Whitehorse) were in the 70s Thursday when we were having lake effect snow flurries.

Silver lining is that the polar vortex has kept the normal spring warm moist southerly jet stream flows from pumping more water into the Great Lakes! So the seasonal increases in April (and May so far) have been less than normal (for a change). I will take the cold weather if that is the benefit! At least until the middle of June.

We couldn’t get her home this weekend but we got to go for a 2hr ride down Narragansett bay to Newport and back. Boat ran good. Docking was interesting with a 20mph wind on beam.

The truck is an interesting set up, nothing like it in use in boat yards here. Almost like a concrete pump truck. Any pictures with boat on hoist? Assume they spun it around and put it in the water in front of truck. Boat looks great. Lets see some picture as to where you cruise, as I'm thinking not too many of us have been to that part of the world.

Got in last Saturday, perfect timing because the weather has been beautiful here in Northern NY since we splashed and will continue until the middle of next week!
