I hope you are right and that the wide-spread public knowledge of how fast this spreads keeps people vigilant with the new "normal". Ontario has started to open things up slowly this coming week. Marina's got the green light to open tomorrow (YAHOO!).

If people don't follow the medical advice and guidelines, and they ignore the distancing and other protocols, this absolutely will ramp up again. Absolutely nothing has changed to prevent that from happening all over again. The vast majority of people have not been infected yet and are not immune and there is no vaccine.

Nothing will stop a rapid rebound except the actions of the general population. And the actions of the general population are highly influenced by what "leaders" spout from their pulpits. And if politicians tell the people to ignore the medical profession and scientists and imply they are incompetent or lying, the general population will ignore the medical profession's educated, science-based advice. Facts matter. Words matter. Leadership matters. Time will tell.

We must be conscious of the increased capacity to test as well. In Louisiana, my state, there have been several days where new cases have spiked by hundreds. Our Democrat, but actually very reasonable Governor, announced in his press conference these spikes are due to new labs beginning to report cases for the first time. He directly said to not interpret the spike to spread, just to new reporting organizations. Very honorable for him to explain that.

If you read the White House Doctors statement carefully it never says he prescribed it. The drug has not even been shown to be effective and has bad side effects. Most likely Trump is lying about taking it as he lies about most everything. What is more interesting is that he claims to also be taking a Z pack, an antibiotic. Anti biotics do not effect viruses but are prescribed to people who already have the virus to help control secondary infections in the lungs. Trump has been around alot of people who test positive and now its come out that the instant test that they use at the White House is 40 percent ineffective with false negatives. The real question is does Trump have the virus?

A prescription is required for Hydroxychloroquine. The President cannot get a prescription without an MD writing it.

It's used by millions of people around the world, and those "bad side effects" are extremes with very few people being affected. Remember when Tom Hanks and his wife used it? Didn't see the media going bezerk over that now did we?

Oh, and remember the legislator from Michigan that used it to save her life? Her reward was admonishment by her own party for publicly stating it.

I do believe every drug I see advertised can have serious side effects. Actually crossing the street can if your hit by a car.

It's been around for decades, and through out the world is highly prescribed and used. It's widely prescribed here in the US for several reasons. In places of the world that have malaria it's extremely common place. Why do you think India had such low rates of Covid-19 compared to other countries?

That's because the FDA is bought and owned by big Pharma and there is no money in hydroxychloroquine aas the patents have run out. Anyone who doesn't see that just doesn't want to look.

year old would claim this i would not hesitate to arrange privat tutoring in basic school knowledge for him ...
