You guessed it, Christmas tree pins. e-a-s-y does it. I remember breaking 1, and I was really taking it easy. Sometimes it just is what it is. Good luck.

Thanks! I do not have this e a s y does it tool. Lol
Should I use a slim 5 in 1 tool to get tween the trims? Does the gold trim stay or does it come off ? I don’t wanna pull them apart if they aren’t meant.

Gold trim stays on. It's screwed on. Carefully score the caulk between the bottom vinyl piece and the gold trim, before you pry off the pad. That way when you put it back on, the cut halves will come back together and you won't have to recaulk.

Thanks all. I will report my findings which likely will include a new fridge. I do not see much point in dumping money into an 18 year old fridge.

Anybody have any experience repairing the spotlight? I swapped the control panel out and it still doesn’t work, my boat came with a lower helm station.
I’ve noticed the access door under the flybridge controls.

My light is an ACR. I had to replace the master controller and point pad last year. Their website has the manual and troubleshooting guide on it if it’s ACR.
Apparently there is also problems with corrosion build up on the contact rings. The new point pad has a feature built in that allows it to automatically turn on and go through an exercise cycle once a month. Again, that’s the ACR brand.

What gas shock on the engine hatch has anyone who replaced, is happy with? I see Taylor Made and Whitecap out there. Thanks

I've bought other gas shocks off of Amazon. You just need to know the closed dimension and the open dimension and how much force is needed.

Thanks, they say 20” - 12”, not sure about the force, I’m guessing at least 70 lbs each.

If you can get a p/n off of one, then google it for specs. But I would think 70 pounds would do it, maybe someone here can chime in with better info.

All done. Up close and from a distance. I'll run it like this for a year and see what happens.

I’ve read a few of the posts about a new Galley fridge. I guess my options are the Norcold or Vitrifrigo if mine can’t be fixed.
I have the Norcold DE 461 and the AC power side is not working (compressor won’t run). I just turned it to DC and it seems to be working.
I am likely going to call a repair man unless anyone has had a similar issue and knows a few things to check. (Yes it is getting AC power, the light is on and the fan runs)
Is it okay to run the fridge for a few days on DC electric while docked?
I’m not sure how much that will work my battery chargers. Anyone hear of this issue? I didn’t find it in the search field.
I had the same problem with a brand New Norcold. Norcold was aware of the problem. They told me one of the components was defective and it took six months for them to get replacements. Eventually they did get the replacement components from another company. They fixed it at no cost. Given them a call and tell them your problem

My fridge is a 2002. I spoke to the Norcold dealer today. Too late right now.
Thanks to the previous posters I got it out currently with no problems. AND most importantly I didn’t break the trim piece.

We're getting close to splash day. I was practically crawling over stuff to get back to the boat 2 weeks ago when I started working on the spring list.
I just about have the place to myself now. It's been raining a lot so it's nice to be inside. Today I finished the wax, tomorrow we will take advantage of being able to park right next to it to put everything we need on the boat. Shooting for Wednesday splash, rain should be gone by then and it looks like a nice weekend coming.

So what are you putting in? Black? Stainless? Are you reusing the wood grain panel?

I have a 1997 400 Sedan Bridge with an installed black and decker coffee maker. Has anyone ever replaced the coffee maker, got any ideas?
