Just purchased a 2005 Sea Ray Sundeck 240 and my research has brought me here. Going to replace the batteries and looking at Optima D31 dual purpose batteries. Is this the right choice?

Some love, some hate Optima. A lot of discussion on here, but the Sams'/Duracell Group 31 is a 8-10 year maintenance free, Marine grade AGM battery. Can be bought on sale for $150 or everyday for $180.

I have 5 of them going on 5+ years, no end in sight. Others getting 8+ years.

Love the Sam's Durcell. It is manufactured by East Penn in Pennsylvania. Identical to the Deka line of batteries they produce.

Appreciate the input! Quite the price difference on those brands as well. Now to begin looking for a wakeboard tower
