2016 Sundeck 270 ob vs 2019 sdx 270 ob?

I currently own a 2003 sundeck 240 and plan to upgrade asap to a newer and larger sundeck or sdx ob.

Does anyone know the differences between the 2016 Sundeck 270 ob vs 2019 sdx 270 ob? I know the sdx replaced the sundeck in 2017. Other than the name change, i cant seem to determine the differences. I also ask as i have a 2016 nearby which is kess expensive but would happily go newer and even bigger to the 290 twin ob.

The differences between a 2016 and 2019 are mostly cosmetic. The basic boat is the same. They learned some things along the way and changed storage, dash shape, materials, etc, but overall the same boat. The arch is a big difference.

Is the main arch difference that it is bigger and more square on sdx vs smaller and more rectangular on older sundeck?

Other questions for P or anyone:
Shape: Is the bow shape the same?

Electronics: Any disadvantages on the the older electronics or can and or should i put a newer simrad system vs older Raymarine GPS?

Any disadvantages on the older model assuming that it costs 20k less than more recent model?

Older arch was just a Bimini holder, not a tow arch. Newer is tow capable. Both have the same flared bow. I am 99% certain the hulls are interchangeable on those two boats, I don’t think there’s a single change from the rub rail down. 2019 was available with the glass dash. Nicely integrated, completely flat dash panel. The 2016 has a small Raymarine unit in between the speedometer and tachometer, it is OK, but not nearly as sophisticated as what was available in 2019. No room on the 2016 to retrofit.

keep in mind, they changed the name from 2016 to 2019, but the boat is still the same boat.
